Centralized encryption has secured all endpoints and has maintained compliance for remote devices
The best features of ESET Endpoint Encryption include full disk encryption, which is the most used one, ensuring all the endpoints are protected. I rely on this daily. Its main key focus on centralized management lets me monitor, enforce policies, and remediate issues from one console, and it allows for user-friendly deployment. Using ESET Endpoint Encryption has had a clear positive impact on my organization, especially in terms of security operational efficiency. From a security standpoint, I achieved 100% encryption coverage across all the endpoints, which significantly reduces the risk of data breaches due to lost or stolen devices. I also saw a noticeable drop in security incidents.

Security monitoring has improved and protects mission-level mac segments for critical users
Currently, I am not using this because it is mandated on Office 365, which we are not currently maintaining. We are just using the manage feature, so it is not something we control. We are using Cisco SecureClient for VPN. Symantec Endpoint Encryption is only used at the MAC level segment for the B Mission levels for security purposes, and it is only from the ten user perspective. It is straightforward and not complex. I would rate the complexity as a seven, but I would rate the product itself as a nine. We have approximately fifty thousand in budget. Better security methods are valuable features that we can suggest, as everything is under liability. My overall review rating for this solution is nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I have used it in the past because it works quite well for encryption."
"ESET is a product that I recommend people switch to for encrypting their documents."
"The most valuable feature of ESET Endpoint Encryption is the high level of encryption protection."
"The most valuable feature is that everything is done on the server."
"The solution allows me to easily monitor the encryption and password management of multiple computers in my network and gives me visibility into user use."
"From the last update, it's easier for me to use."
"The solution's UI is user-friendly. Even a non-technical person can use it."
"The Remote Administrator is the most valuable feature that ESET offers for us. Centralized management of our ESET environment is what I like about the Remote Administrator."
"It is stable."
"I like the management aspect of this solution, because you don't want to have end-users tweak or set it themselves, so the fact that you could do it from a central point helped us a lot."
"I used this solution to protect my workstation from malware and other threats such as viruses and worms."
"We find the dashboard, endpoint mobile encryption, and email encryption valuable."
"The solution’s installation was easy."
"It's satisfying our requirements at a very high level."
"You get updates and other encrypted files easily."
"The stability seems to be okay, it works as it was designed to, there are no bugs or glitches, it doesn't crash or freeze, and it's reliable."

Cons

"Sometimes the server console is very slow, so the performance could be improved."
"ESET Endpoint Encryption needs to improve pricing and security."
"The overall compatibility of the device is an area where the solution lacks."
"There should be more frequent updates."
"For me, it is unstable."
"The product should be more responsive regarding feedback if it detects something in our infrastructure. I believe there's a backend that their engineers use to detect viruses in our system. We would appreciate it if they could promptly provide feedback and give us recommendations on how to better protect our infrastructure beyond their system. Additionally, we hope for improved integration with the other systems we currently use. It would be beneficial if they could collaborate to create something that facilitates integration between these systems."
"My problem is that there's a technical glitch and they don't have a fix for it. It's not working with the latest version of Windows, which is a problem."
"Integration with central management needs improvement."
"More features need to be included in the encryption software."
"Sometimes it has been nightmarish to just finish transactions on Symantec systems because of all the product fluctuation."
"If for example, a user forgets the endpoint key, they cannot access their data."
"From an administration point of view, maybe it would be ideal to have it centrally managed."
"There are other solutions in the market that have new features. The feature could improve."
"The solution presently doesn't let network folder encryption be done on Macintosh."
"We would like some advanced security protection features."
"The initial setup is a bit complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"On a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest and ten is the highest, I rate its pricing a two."
"We paid for an annual subscription, and it was reasonable."
"Instead of installing ESET on each machine at each location, we just do it remotely. This has been a time saver for us."
"The pricing is mid-ranged and could be more cost-effective."
"It is neither very expensive, nor cheap. Overall it is affordable and there is a long term arrangement between our company and the solution providers for license."
"There are some inexpensive products compared to ESET Endpoint Encryption, but they lack the essential features."
"The National University System dedicates 500 of their 5000 licenses to us, which is $14/yr per device. Most companies are paying $99 or $120 per device a year."
"Licensing costs are on a yearly basis."
"The pricing is fair but there is variability in our area that needs to be addressed."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"The cost of this solution is a little on the higher side."
"Symantec Endpoint Encryption is not expensive."
"The licensing costs yearly are $5000."
"The solution is good, but it is more expensive than other solutions in the market. Other solutions, such as BitLocker are less expensive."
"The license is not very expensive."
"Considering the fluctuation in exchange rates in our part of the world, we find it generally affordable."
