PROS

Symantec Endpoint Encryption provides robust encryption features which are essential for protecting emails and documents in the current era of widespread server threats.
Its encryption capabilities are complemented by effective antivirus, URL filtering, and firewall protection, making it highly effective for data protection.
The central management aspect allows administrators to control settings remotely, ensuring ease of use and without end-user interference.
Integration with Symantec Messaging Gateway and Symantec DLP enhances information security by encrypting outgoing emails that contain confidential information.
Symantec Endpoint Encryption is valued for its overall security capabilities and large-scale deployment suitability in enterprise data management.

CONS

There is a need for better integration with non-Symantec products and enhanced support, especially in response times.
Challenges exist with managing multiple agents, and there is a preference for a single agent across all services.
Installation and upgrades can be complex and time-consuming, causing inconvenience to users.
The absence of mobile encryption options limits its use for companies needing to secure tablets and cell phones.
The decryption process is notably slower than encryption, highlighting the need for improvement in decryption times.

The best feature of Symantec Endpoint Encryption is the encryption itself. Encryption truly is the way to go because nowadays we are living in an era of widespread server threats, and you need to encrypt your emails and documents because you never know who might get hold of them.

One feature that is lacking is integration with Symantec Information Centric (ICT). As it is now, I don't see how to integrate the encryption with ICT, and in my opinion this is an area that certainly requires encryption, even though it's no longer supported by Broadcom.
