Reliable border connectivity with responsive support but there's room for more intuitive documentation
The documentation is somewhat lacking and not easy to navigate. There are some errors and misleading information. The general appearance of the company site is also not user-friendly for downloading firmware. Firmware updates should be more straightforward. More security features would be appreciated, however, they should be easy to understand and implement.

Routing has supported carrier-grade services and has needed more affordable security options
The features of Juniper MX Series Routers that I find most useful are its nice scalability, redundant power supply, and routing engines. Redundancy is maintained in the router itself, including power redundancy and routing engine redundancy. The routers run mostly all the protocols required for the managed service provider, and security-wise, they also have good features, allowing us to provide IPSec VPN services from the routers. These are the basic, mostly used features that we are utilizing. For Deep Packet Inspection, Juniper MX Series Routers have firewall filters and commands related to routing engine protection, and then packet inspection features are configured. In traffic management with Juniper MX Series Routers, I leverage the policer, shapers, and quality of service parameters for traffic management. I also use OSPF traffic engineering features and MPLS-TE; these are a few features that I employ for traffic management.

"I have been able to connect the solution to many platforms such as Windows, Apple, and Android."
"The scalability is good."
"When we started, the connection was amazing for the 100G between the switches and the co-switch. What the students typically use for school is a maximum is 40 so they now have faster technology."
"The best feature about Huawei is the cost, particularly when you compare it to Cisco which has a much more expensive licensing model."
"The most valuable feature is the standard routing protocol."
"The performance is good."
"Juniper Enterprise Routers is very flexible."

Cons

"I have an issue with Huawei; when we can't solve a project problem, support will say, "Oh, this will be from next year, we don't want to create support, for example, Huawei Router.""
"We found that working with technical support was difficult due to a language barrier, and this needs to be improved."
"In the next release of this solution, I would like to see better bandwidth management, more granular web filtering, and portal authentication."
"We have found we have to restart the routers or reconfigure them a lot of the time, this issue should improve."
"It would be better if local storage management was more flexible, so that unused data could be easily removed."
"The product's pricing could be better."
"The solution's technical support could be improved."
"It would be better if the vendor provided support for small enterprises."
"Currently, I don't have specific concerns or ideas for improvement. Regarding functionalities, I appreciate the user interface of Juniper Elite. Additionally, I'm exploring the use of Juniper Routers in a Parliament environment, particularly with Baragon, and so far, I find it to be a valuable feature. We're currently facing an issue as we're in the process of building and dealing with the software, specifically transitioning from R2 to RC. It's like when there is an update in the routers, and in the process, there are chances to end up losing some of your settings. The challenge arises because the recommended configurations for RC do not align with our features, necessitating a reevaluation of many features. It would have been more efficient if the initial recommendation had been for RC, avoiding the need to redo our research. This has resulted in a loss of time for us, and we've encountered this situation multiple times."
"The solution needs to offer SDN features."
"Finding market expertise is hard."
"In my opinion, to improve Juniper MX Series Routers, Juniper should make the MS-MIC card required for IPSec support more affordable, as it is currently costly."
"The solution could improve reliability and it needs more functions."
"This is what has been frustrating for me, even a little."
"The initial setup is not easy."
"The security features could be better."

"The price is reasonable compared to Cisco's."
"The price of the solution is fair."
"These routers are not too expensive."
"There is no licence for this solution, but the solution could be cheaper."
"The product is expensive."
"The tool's licensing is yearly."
"The price of this solution is better than other competitors, such as Cisco. We receive a lot of discounts which make the price less expensive and attractive."
"An additional license can be purchased for support of a next-generation firewall."
"We have to pay for the device and licensing. The support service requires additional costs."
"There is a license for this solution and the price is very competitive. The cost is less expensive than some competitors, such as Cisco. There are additional costs for support licenses."
