Good integration with other tools, stable, scales easily
There are a number of things that they can do to simplify the tools, but the most important thing that they need to do is simplify the installation. This includes the workbench as well as the other tools. In the future, I would like to see the other types of tests supported, that are not already covered in the DevOps approach. This would include, for example, penetration testing.

Solution simplifies web service testing with impressive speed and accessibility
It is very easy for me to use and I highly prefer it compared to SoapUI and other products for performing its job. It is more handy and faster. It has impacted us very nicely. Postman is used for free by us. I'm not sure if there might be a paid version for multiple users. It is a very good product used for development. It is easy to install, as well as to learn, particularly for new users, even if they are not developers. I taught my business analyst to use it. I just showed them once, and it was easy for them to understand. For example, I gave them the URL and request format and asked them to test independently. They were able to use it on their own and do their testing as well. It was a good experience, especially for generally smart people, like those we usually hire in our company. It is pretty easy to explain, and learning it is not complex.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"Reporting is pretty good. Its interface is also good. I'm overall pretty happy with the functionality and use of IBM Rational Test Workbench."
"This solution provides for API testing, functional UI testing, performance testing, and service virtualization."
"The initial setup is simple."
"The user-interface is very good."
"The most valuable feature of Postman is the verification and testing of APIs."
"The variables part is good. We can easily define the variables and we don't have to manually do a change every time, it gets automatically updated."
"The user interface is very easy to learn and use, and it is a lightweight application."
"Postman helps us to automate the API testing in the team."
"It is a scalable solution."
"With Postman you can do automation. Automation has increased efficiency by more than 30% or 40%. Because the speed has increased, it's also possible for us to do in-sprint automation testing."

Cons

"It should have more interfaces. In terms of interfaces or protocols, what you can do with Rational is far limited as compared to other products out there. What it does, it does great, but it only gives you limited types of protocols. It supports between 8 to 15 types of protocols, whereas other test tools give you 20 to 30 types of protocols with which you can do testing and convert to script. It records Javascript-based scripts, and you got to know a little bit of Java to basically be able to edit them, but the level of editing you got to do is very low. I like that, but the ability to edit the script is not as good as Parasoft or LoadRunner, which have C-Script."
"There are a number of things that they can do to simplify the tools, but the most important thing that they need to do is simplify the installation."
"I was not even aware that it was possible to automate tasks in Postman...Some features related to the automation of tasks need to be added to the solution."
"Initially, the setup is a little bit complex"
"One of the primary challenges with Postman is handling authentication issues, especially relating to tokens and passwords."
"The reporting could be better. It should give you a detailed PDF report after you run a test."
"To get this email reporting function, we have to integrate Postman with Newman. If the two are not integrated, we won't be getting all these things in one group."
"The performance needs to be improved."
"Postman is a bit more of a complex tool, making it an area where improvements can be made."
"Postman needs to improve its support for a lot of integrations."
