A sustainable product that has ultra-low latency and reliable security features
Initially, we had some challenges with massive amounts of customer data. We have an airport segment where the passenger data are required, and it’s huge data. We needed a system that could store bulk data with low latency and provide a good customer experience. The solution is very famous. Ultra latency provides miraculous performance and productivity. It also enables advanced virtualization for good scalability. Anyone can opt to use the product. Overall, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

Centralized dashboard has simplified cloud backups and now streamlines multi-cloud data migrations
The best features NetApp BlueXP offers, in my experience, include a single dashboard for every operation, which helps reduce manual work. It has a great dashboard with better visibility and works across multiple clouds, whether in a hybrid or multiple cloud environments. The dashboard helps my team day-to-day by providing a very easy-to-use UI that is not too complex. We can easily add cloud details, create buckets, and manage all the information for backup. The operations are GUI-based, making it very helpful for configuring these tasks without using complex CLI commands. NetApp BlueXP positively impacts my organization by providing good integration with NetApp storage including ONTAP and Trident, along with built-in monitoring and alerts. It saves a lot of time and reduces the in-field engineers' costs.

"With SVC it is very easy to manage and to use for migration, meaning that when we want to move or to keep control of the volume or update a server database, it is very easy."
"The virtualization layer has been great; we have SAN Volume Controller, and below that we can use any kind of storage, which is perfect for us because if we run out of storage, we can add more storage from any of our vendors."
"The solution is easy to use, easily configurable, and easy to upgrade, manipulate, and add new storage."
"With SVC it is very easy to manage and to use for migration, meaning that when we want to move or to keep control of the volume or update a server database, it is very easy. That's why we use it."
"The primary benefit is that it simplifies data management. We face a lot of classification issues with our customers. They need to classify data, but they don't know how to do it. We can help them do it using BlueXP Datasense."
"The software interface can extract the data from the backend effectively."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to view all our different systems in one place. That's the most important feature for us."
"It has improved our disaster recovery."
"NetApp BlueXP makes it easier to deliver products and manage inventory."
"NetApp BlueXP has positively impacted my organization by reducing storage management effort by thirty to sixty percent, with less time spent on day-to-day storage operations, resulting in faster provisioning of storage, where storage provisioning time drops from hours to minutes."
"If your use case involves backing up data from the cloud or transitioning data from on-prem to cloud or between multiple or hybrid clouds, NetApp BlueXP is a very good tool."
"When we compare it to classic infrastructure, we see money saving."

Cons

"I would like to see the usage of virtualized storage boxes improved. I'd like to see this feature fixed, especially for SVC controller, and to be able to hold more storage."
"Patch management and upgrades must be made easier."
"They just need to put in the snap volume because now they use what is called a flash copy. This means that you have to take all the volume instead of NetApp which uses their snapshot."
"IBM SAN Volume Control could improve by better integrations with other vendor systems. IBM SAN Volume Control can store the environment and are able to integrate with Veeam, but I don't know if they can integrate as well with SVC or other vendors' systems."
"They just need to put in the snap volume because now they use what is called a flash copy. This means that you have to take all the volume instead of NetApp which uses their snapshot."

"Performance could be a little better. In my opinion, it's a bit slow. If you click on something, it takes a while for the data to load."
"It's a very expensive product."
"NetApp BlueXP is powerful but can feel dense; what could be improved are more guided workflows, such as 'set up backup for this workload' or 'optimize storage cost in three steps.'"
"The tool needs to make its licensing pages more user-friendly."
