Real-time incident detection and user-friendly dashboard benefit daily operations
There are many types of AI, and this AI is very limited in SQL and features. There may be potential for improvement. So far, it seems very limited. It shows some good features in the correlation part, but I think there is room for improvement. For instance, when creating rules, it can suggest more rules, reducing the effort needed. If AI-related support can suggest rules and integrate with existing security devices like MD, IPS, this SIM can create more relevant rules. Sometimes logs I receive don't mean anything, and I need technical stakeholders to share or forward logs, but these are sometimes inadequate. Keywords can help identify insufficient logs. I often lack time to verify logs. Sharing false positive results could be reduced to help my team.

Patch management and integration capabilities drive effective endpoint response management
We work with Kaspersky and two modalities: the Censi final and Censi license. Most of our clients work in financial areas and industry. Our regular enterprise business relies on these solutions Kaspersky is viable with ADR; the Endpoint Detection response feature and the BitLocker management…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This is a good tool to have because it gives you the ability to track what is currently happening in your environment."
"This solution has excellent security analytics."
"IBM QRadar Advisor with Watson is a stable solution."
"Log correlation is very useful for processing alerts. It serves to follow up alerts in real-time, building an entire workflow."
"I think this is a good product for enterprises because of the performance and out-of-the-box rules and use cases. If they want to reach the maturity level early, they can use these out-of-the-box rules and use cases. That will help them a lot."
"The timeline and machine learning features are great."
"Vulnerability data, network data and the like, are part of correlation and detection."
"The features that I have found most valuable in QRadar are its data enrichment, use case creations, and adding references - those kinds of features are very good. Also QRadar's event filtration and device integration are perfect."
"We can scale the solution."
"We've found the solution to be stable."
"The most valuable feature is Endpoint's management."
"It helps improve security in our organization."
"I like the tool’s response to malware and trojans."
"Its customer service is quite good."
"Kaspersky is easy to use, and it performs well."
"We have a central console and from there you can monitor all workstations via an agent."

Cons

"The features that could be improved include the licensing model and the dashboards and all those presentations. Overall, the user experience part can be improved."
"They need to improve their threat intelligence feed and they need to improve their user behavior analytics modules."
"I think that the search speed of this solution could be improved."
"I have noticed a few things while working on this. After the restart of the server, sometimes, the services misbehave, and you need to manually start or restart the service. I have seen that specifically with the Tomcat service. Sometimes, when you click on log sources, instead of opening the log source extension, it redirects you over the internet."
"The solution is expensive compared to other products."
"IBM QRadar User Behavior Analytics could improve machine learning use cases because they are limited and most of the use cases are rule-based. They should develop more use cases, such as in Securonix or Exabeam because they will detect a threat. Using machine learning is mainly on the correlation rules, but if you think about Exabeam or Securonix, they detect using machine learning or machine learning-based algorithms."
"Technical support is good, but not great."
"There needs to be better integration with other applications."
"The Kaspersky console could be easier to navigate and generate reports from."
"The solution can improve by providing automatic fixing of vulnerabilities and reducing the resources used in the server component and endpoint agent. They are very bulky and use a lot of CPU, memory, and hard drive resources."
"There are some cases that take three days to deal with. It's too long."
"It does not cover all of our security issues."
"If a customer wants to use Kaspersky on-prem, they'll need to spend a lot on the hardware. Their server must be strong because EDR is a heavy product. You need excellent hardware to run it. It might make sense to deploy the solution in the cloud. If they add features, it will only make the product heavier and increase the hardware costs."
"The issue with Kaspersky EDR is the sandbox. I'd like to have the ability to manage it on the cloud as well."
"It is not easy to follow the kill chain of a potential infection or malware."
"The main problem with Endpoint is that Kaspersky is a Russian company, and my clients prefer not to use it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing and licensing are competitive. Their new licensing options allow logs to bypass the correlation engine for a flat rate, which is also appealing for log data that is compliance-driven for a small amount of money."
"It is costlier as compared to the other alternatives available in the market."
"IBM QRadar is a little bit expensive compared to other products."
"Only enterprise businesses can afford the tool."
"Most of the time, it is easier and cheaper to buy a new product or the QRadar box."
"Our licensing costs for this solution is on a yearly basis."
"There is a license to use this solution, which is paid annually. However, there are subscription options available."
"The tool's price is high."
"EDR is priced on the cheaper side. Licensing for EDR is available on a yearly basis for around 80 SAR a year."
"The solution’s pricing is okay."
"The solution isn't the cheapest considering what you get. I would rate the pricing as seven out of ten."
"The pricing is reasonable. Not too cheap, not too expensive."
"We were on a three-year license to use Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response. The price could be better."
"Endpoint's pricing is good, especially compared to expensive solutions like Sophos."
"The product has a valuable pricing model. We need to purchase its monthly subscription."
"Pricing for Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is so-so when you compare it with its competitors. Its pricing isn't cheap nor expensive."
