Collects valuable endpoint data with good analytics and helpful scalability
This is a question for the partners who implement and install it. I am not involved in the implementation process, so I cannot suggest improvements. As mentioned, this is a query for my presales team, not me. I am part of the security team lead, focusing mainly on sales. Regarding the product, Fortinet could consider reducing the minimum order quantity for EDR, currently set at 500 pieces. In smaller markets like Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Slovenia, it can be challenging to find customers with 500 endpoints. My suggestion to Fortinet would be to lower this minimum order quantity to one.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"NGAV and EDR features are outstanding."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"I get alerts when scripts are detected in the environment."
"The solution does a good job of filtering and blocking unusual traffic."
"The most valuable features of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response are all the features. The features have all helped us and most recently malware has been an issue in our company and malware protection has been effective."
"It is a scalable solution...It is a stable solution."
"The most valuable features are the reports."
"EDR's most valuable feature is its basic protection from malware and viruses."
"We particularly appreciate how scalable this solution is, as we often need to increase our end-user numbers."
"Has some great features not available elsewhere."
"What I like best about Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is that it can detect any cyber attack and that it's a reliable product in the cybersecurity space. My company has confidence in it as a product for detecting all cyber attacks. It's a reliable product."

Cons

"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection."
"The solution is not user-friendly."
"We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team."
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"The dashboard isn't easy to access and manage."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response should continue to improve its protection while adapting to the changing threat ecosystems. Having more advanced features would be a benefit."
"I would like better integration with other products."
"The installation process could be more streamlined."
"The solution can improve by providing automatic fixing of vulnerabilities and reducing the resources used in the server component and endpoint agent. They are very bulky and use a lot of CPU, memory, and hard drive resources."
"I would say that Kaspersky is not too big in the cloud-related area."
"It consumes many system resources."
"There are some issues with EDR's web policy blocking sites that are marked as exceptions."
"If it covered more products, it would improve the XDR."

"The solution’s pricing is okay."
"We were on a three-year license to use Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response. The price could be better."
