Offers advanced filtering features and benefits from improved licensing and performance
There is a licensing issue with Intercept X Endpoint. Their licenses are user-based. Most of our customers use per device licenses, and they need per device licenses because they use one PC for multiple accounts. This creates a problem. There was one customer who complained about the slowness of PCs using Intercept X Endpoint. They use minor performance PCs, which causes their PCs to become slow.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There do not seem to be any limitations to the scalability of this product."
"The key factor that attracted me to Sophos Intercept X was the multi-platform. I have multiple clients that have mixed environments of Mac and Windows. I am able to deliver a standard solution, regardless of the platform."
"It is a very scalable solution."
"Offers artificial intelligence, security metrics and a lot of information gathered to make decisions."
"It's a good antivirus software and has a lot of features. It now integrates with their on-premises firewall, which is perfect."
"Very stable solution."
"Synchronization with the firewall is most valuable."
"The initial setup is simple."
"It helps improve security in our organization."
"The pricing is decent."
"The content filtering options are good."
"It's scalable enough for us."
"It is easy to manage."
"Kaspersky is easy to use, and it performs well."
"The most valuable features are the reports."
"The most valuable features of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response are all the features. The features have all helped us and most recently malware has been an issue in our company and malware protection has been effective."

Cons

"To be a perfect product, the price would have to be a bit better."
"It could be a bit easier to implement."
"The after sales service and support could be improved."
"The performance is very slow and should be faster."
"We are not able to merge the sub-estates. If we create multiple sub-states and there may be instances where a user is in a different sub-state, it may not be possible for us to relocate that user from one sub-state to another through the console. We have to merge them manually which is not ideal."
"It's a challenge to do system maintenance work on a notebook. You always have to disable Sophos first."
"When I use a proxy, I can bypass Sophos, which is an area that needs improvement."
"I am not very satisfied with the product's reporting overall, and it needs improvement in this area."
"They should include XDR features in the solution."
"There are some issues with EDR's web policy blocking sites that are marked as exceptions."
"There is a problem with the solution, it came from Russia and we are looking for a replacement."
"Kaspersky EDR currently has limited OS support. They only focus on Windows Server and Windows. Kaspersky recently released a Linux version, but it's rudimentary. It does not have any advanced features available on Windows platforms. They should increase their footprint on the Linux side and support other operating systems on the market, like MacOS."
"The Kaspersky console could be easier to navigate and generate reports from."
"Kaspersky EDR lacks protection from recent ransomware."
"We'd like to see them improve the automatic response."
"It consumes many system resources."

"The price of the solution is average compared to the market."

"When you start going to the EDR technologies and the MTR, it is a little bit expensive. It's a very good technology, and obviously, you're going to pay for it, but the pricing could do a little bit of work."
"The solution’s pricing is high."
"You can purchase a license for one to three years."
"Licensing costs are not expensive."
"Licensing fees are paid monthly."
