Identifies vulnerabilities across bulk web applications but needs better support and cleaner reports
The best feature Acunetix offers is the centralized dashboard and the quality of reports it generates, which includes various options for selecting reports and developer options for directly sharing the reports with developers. The centralized dashboard of Acunetix gives visibility into the security aspects of mass applications; for instance, with more than 200 applications, it provides a valuable overview of findings and necessary fixes, along with a high-level summary that helps us achieve compliance through monthly and sometimes weekly scanning. In terms of reporting, Acunetix is excellent because it can generate different types of reports, such as an executive summary report, detailed reports, and developer reports that can be shared directly with developers. Acunetix positively impacts my organization by helping identify outdated libraries and applications, including legacy applications vulnerable to old attacks based on OWASP Top 10, thus aiding in compliance checks for PCI DSS and OWASP. Acunetix provides a centralized report with compliance-related aspects and a vulnerability timeline, effectively helping reduce vulnerabilities and save time.

Useful for cloud data protection, particularly for email and file-sharing systems
For improvements, I think it would be great if Trend Micro Cloud App Security could enhance their product to be a single SASE solution. It should be similar to competitors like Palo Alto. The solution should also expand integration from the public cloud to the private cloud and add Cloud DLP and CASB features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We use the solution for the scanning of vulnerabilities like SQL injections."
"It's a very easy deployment and easy application."
"It's very user-friendly for the testing teams. It's very easy for them to understand things and to fix vulnerabilities."
"It comes equipped with an internal applicator, which automatically identifies and addresses vulnerabilities within the program."
"With Acunetix, we cut the time to make infrastructures and web applications for our colleagues more secure, and for one application with two or three critical vulnerabilities and some other vulnerabilities, it took about a week to remediate issues because the scan and findings were really fast."
"The solution is excellent at detecting SQL injection and cross-site scripting vulnerabilities."
"The scalability is more than good; it can operate both as a standalone and it can be integrated with other applications, which makes it a very versatile solution to have, and this solution is simple enough, especially with the cloud."
"The features of Acunetix have proved most effective in identifying vulnerabilities."
"I find Trend Micro Cloud App Security useful for scanning our email boxes. We can scan them one by one, which is a good feature. It's not just gateway-level protection - we integrate the email system with it. They have special protection and parameters for phishing emails."
"Dependable with ease of integration with other security products."
"This is a very dependable solution and we are able to have a lot of Trend Micro security products integrated between each other."
"The solution is easy to integrate."
"It has more intelligence features than other vendors."
"Our business emails are very important and Trend Micro Cloud App Security has provided a high level of protection. Additionally, there are updating the solution frequently."
"The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Cloud App Security is its stability across all platforms."
"Trend Micro has DLP features in it, which separates it from other solutions."

Cons

"In terms of additional features, we are currently missing some tools that would allow us to work more efficiently with the mobile environment, with Android and iOS."
"The costs for the licensing have changed and it's not in our favor which is why we're now looking at other options."
"We have had issues during upgrades where their scans worked on some apps better with previous versions. Then, we had to work with their tech support, who were great, to get it fixed for the next version."
"I believe Acunetix can improve customer support, as the dedicated support staff are often unfamiliar with problems and troubleshooting, leading to communication gaps that delay issue resolution."
"You can't actually change your password after you've set it unless you go back into the administration account and you change it there. Thus, if you're locked out and don't remember your password, that's a thing."
"There are some versions of the solution that are not as stable as others."
"The only problem that they have is the price. It is a bit expensive, and you cannot change the number of applications for the whole year."
"Acunetix should improve by further reducing false positives and providing more customized reports, plus better integration with newer tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps."
"The solution's technical support services could be better."
"There is room for improvement in the DLP component of Trend Micro Cloud App Security."
"For improvements, I think it would be great if Trend Micro Cloud App Security could enhance their product to be a single SASE solution. It should be similar to competitors like Palo Alto."
"In the next release, I would like to see the cost go down."
"The cost of the license is on the high side."
"It would be great if Trend Mail Cloud App Security would be joined with a web security solution, making it a multiple-network solution."
"They should provide separate corporate-level licenses for two to three instances."
"Documentation could be improved; product cost is quite high."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is based on two types of licenses, ConsultLite, and ConsultPlus, as well as the number of domains that are scanned."
"The pricing is a little high, and moreover, it's kind of domain-based."
"The pricing and licensing are reasonable to a point. In order to run multiple scans at a time, we are going to have to purchase a 100 count license, which is an overkill. Though, compared to what we were paying for, the cost seems reasonable."
"Implementing Acunetix needs a medium or larger business agency, because you need some money to get Acunetix. It is costly, but if you care about your agency's security, then maybe it's a cost that might help you in the future."
"The costs aren't very expensive. It costs around $3000 or $4000."
"When we looked at all other vendors and what they were asking for, to provide a third of what Acunetix was capable of doing, it was an easy decision... But now that it's coming to a cost where it's line with market value, it becomes more of a competition... Acunetix is raising the cost of licensing. It's 3.5 times what we were initially quoted."
"The price is exceptionally high."
"The solution is expensive."
"The price of Trend Micro Cloud App Security is expensive for regular users. There are not any hidden fees. First-time users of the solution should purchase implementation packages or professional services."
"The product's pricing is reasonable compared to other vendors."
"The pricing of the solution could be better."
"The cost of the license is on the high side. It's a yearly subscription."
"The solution's price is mid-ranged."
