Automation aids installation while management consolidation needs improvement
We are currently using Ansible for Jira installations and all the management tasks. We perform some tasks manually, however, Ansible helps in automating some of these processes I find JBoss to be lightweight and easier to manage compared to WebSphere. It allows for simple modification of…

Offers efficient load distribution with a scope of high scalability
Our organization configures Oracle WebLogic Server in such a way that a load balancer becomes available. The network requests are segregated to the Oracle WebLogic Server as the managing server and different nodes are configured. Using the product as a load balancer helps automate request transfer from one non-functional node to another functional node. Due to Oracle WebLogic Server, the endpoints remain unaffected whenever a node goes down. The clustering feature enhances our organization's performance and reliability. In our organization, the health of the Oracle WebLogic Server environment is maintained and managed using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). I would definitely recommend others to use Oracle WebLogic Server. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.

"JBoss is more flexible and keeps up with modern technologies, supporting newer versions of different libraries."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"The solution has flexibility and stability."
"Oracle WebLogic Server is secure."
"The technical support is responsive. They are always ready to help by various communication channels, such as Zoom calls. However, sometimes it will take a while because when we are dealing with a problem, they need to look at the logs and configuration. A lot of the issues are related to the configuration that they need to look at thoroughly before they can give us a solution and it can take a few days depending on the type of problem."
"Oracle WebLogic Server has a bunch of ready features that are easy to use and understand."
"It has good integration with security features, including OWASP."
"One of the good features of Oracle WebLogic Server was the ability to add some custom parameters to its deployment and performance."
"It is efficient, not redundant, usable, scalable, and meant for enterprise applications."
"It's a scalable product."
"The tool's technical support is very good."

Cons

"The tool's documentation could be improved to explain its usage and functionalities clearly. Having accessible documentation would save time for leaders like me when juniors seek information about it. The documentation should be self-explanatory and guide users on how to utilize the tool."
"The price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required. The product could be made cheaper."
"The price could be improved. Customers don't want to buy the license easily."
"The documentation could be better. When we have questions, we need to check multiple websites. There isn't one place listing a set of common problems and how to fix them."
"Scalability is a concern because it is not online, which limits online processes. This aspect can be improved."
"JBoss is not as reliable and stable as WebLogic."
"In general, the support of the ERPC would be really good due to the fact that, so far, I have not seen it."
"The solution's pricing could be improved because it is not cheap."
"The quarterly updates can sometimes lead to instability depending on the configuration of systems."
"This is a complex application."
"Its pricing should be better. We are analyzing other options, such as JBoss, because of the cost of WebLogic."
"In the future, I would like to see better support for the REST interface."
"The logs consultant, since it tends to be more in the server, we do need complete consult logs for a lot of different files."
"If you want to use Oracle products to the fullest with enhanced customizations, you need to get trained. There is enough documentation and the flexibility to configure the application to your needs but you will need to spend more time gathering the knowledge."
"The solution is very expensive, and its pricing could be improved."
"I've had issues with some of the tracking features tracking and have had to go back to several generations of code to fix problems where things were touched."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Despite the price increase after being acquired by IBM, JBoss still maintains its competitiveness. The package provided is more geared towards cloud-based deployments, whereas our setup is more traditional, which makes it slightly more expensive for us. As most vendors are transitioning towards cloud-centric solutions, companies like ours need to adapt accordingly."
"It is an open-source solution."
"We pay for a maintenance license, but it is not expensive."
"I rate the product price as eight on a scale, where one means it is a very cheap solution, and ten points mean that it is a very expensive tool."
"The solution is cost-efficient compared to other products. Pricing is rated an eight out of ten."
"There is no licensing cost. The solution is free to use."
"The pricing of JBoss is more reasonable than that of WebLogic."
"JBoss is an expensive solution."
"The solution’s pricing is affordable."
"I would not compare WebSphere and WebLogic because both servers are really good. The only difference is that Weblogic is lighter and consumes less memory."
"The solution's licensing is high-priced."
"Pricing for Oracle WebLogic Server is expensive."
"The licensing of the product is expensive"
"Its high expense is a significant drawback"
"The licensing fees are annual and depend on the model."
"The tool's pricing is yearly."
