Patch management and integration capabilities drive effective endpoint response management
We work with Kaspersky and two modalities: the Censi final and Censi license. Most of our clients work in financial areas and industry. Our regular enterprise business relies on these solutions Kaspersky is viable with ADR; the Endpoint Detection response feature and the BitLocker management…

Enhancements needed for security alerts while ongoing training strengthens defenses
This year, I am going to improve some tools to be installed or maybe acquire some services to better manage our web services and work with my coworkers. Application fiber also needs attention. Nowadays I am making applications that are publicly seen on the Internet. I need some protection, possibly multi-factor authentication improvements. I am seeing, for workflows, some sort of ethical hacking to test our environment. Knowledge of everything, not only the product - maybe some kind of alerts - needs to emerge. I see the current ones as very low-tier, and they must improve.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The content filtering options are good."
"The most valuable features of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response are all the features. The features have all helped us and most recently malware has been an issue in our company and malware protection has been effective."
"Encryption is the most valuable feature. It creates an encryption tunnel from your location to the delivery address."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is a stable solution."
"It is a scalable solution...It is a stable solution."
"This solution is quite responsive and the tech support engineers are kind and good."
"Version 14.0 comes with an SQL database, which gives great flexibility on control, reviewing logs, and viewing history."
"EDR's most valuable feature is its basic protection from malware and viruses."
"The product is user-friendly."
"The biggest strength of the solution is that it's an integrated product that includes EDR and antivirus."
"Trellix Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) offers endpoint protection and helps collect information while also allowing users to investigate malicious files in an IT environment...It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"It relies on external systems for detection and then asks the endpoint to handle blocking. However, the most crucial feature is its investigative capabilities. With real-time search and other functionalities, it enables comprehensive detection and response."
"This is a stable product."
"The most valuable feature I found in McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response is the guided analytics or guided EDR investigation."
"Blocking browser navigation is a feature of the solution with which we have experienced success."
"The product and the services we have are quite good."

Cons

"The solution lacks DLP."
"The product should release more frequent updates. The tool needs to improve its scalability as well."
"The prices can go down a little bit."
"An area for improvement in Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is its technical support because currently, technical support is delayed."
"The system can be heavy, slowing down performance."
"Documentation needs to be simplified and improved so that it provides good product awareness for end users."
"It's not a simple implementation."
"Kaspersky needs to strengthen its standing in the market."
"The console has a lot of bugs, and it creates many issues."
"The dashboard and reporting features are not so user-friendly or intuitive, so they need some work."
"The alert feature of McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response needs improvement because for you to get the alerts, you have to log on to the portal. What my company needs is a tool that sends you alerts. For example, if it detects a threat on your machine, it should send you an alert. My company gets the alerts instead from the antivirus software rather than the EDR. If you want to see the alerts on McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response, you have to connect to the system manually. Another area for improvement in the tool is the reporting. My company needs weekly and monthly reports about the alerts, but you can't extract reports from McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response, so a decision was made to move to another EDR solution, particularly Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, next month. My company tested Microsoft Defender for Endpoint via a POC for one to three months. The resource usage of McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response is also an area for improvement because it consumes a lot of memory. For example, during the on-demand scan, you can't work because of the high CPU usage. You need to schedule the scans. McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response has a lot of modules, but my company doesn't use all modules."
"For Spanish users, it is necessary to have a knowledge base specifically designed for them, which is currently not available."
"Trellix needs to focus on gaining traction with partners and building trust among users."
"An area for improvement in McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response is the historical search. For example: when you have information on the artifact and a precedent, you want to do a search, and that is a bit lacking in the tool."
"I'd like the tool to become more like an XDR, with one management system and endpoint activation."
"The main drawbacks are resources and processing time, as it consumes a lot of CPU and RAM."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Kaspersky is licensed on a yearly basis."
"Pricing for Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is so-so when you compare it with its competitors. Its pricing isn't cheap nor expensive."
"The solution is worth its cost so I rate pricing a ten out of ten."
"Endpoint's pricing is good, especially compared to expensive solutions like Sophos."
"The pricing is reasonable. Not too cheap, not too expensive."
"Kaspersky's pricing is very competitive when it comes to comparison with the other solutions."
"The solution is expensive in comparison to CheckPoint and Fortinet."
"EDR is priced on the cheaper side. Licensing for EDR is available on a yearly basis for around 80 SAR a year."
"The pricing is always high."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is low and ten is high, I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten."
"Speaking about the price, you must use the product to find the product's cost for you."
"The licensing costs attached to the solution are very easy to manage. There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs."
"McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response is reasonable in terms of cost. It's a tool my company has been using for a few years now. It costs $25,000 to $30,000 for six hundred users."
"Pricing for McAfee MVISION Endpoint Detection and Response is not that expensive, but it's not something that a startup could buy. Pricing for it is for midsized businesses. There's an additional payment if you want data retention for more than thirty days. They gave us data retention for thirty days. Then if you want longer data retention, they have the paid option for a three-month data retention period and for a one-year data retention period."
"The product’s pricing is reasonable."
"Pricing is a problem in South Africa. It could be cheaper here. The rand-to-dollar exchange rate makes it expensive for us. A 25 dollar endpoint cost becomes quite significant when converted to rand."
