Efficient integration and log monitoring enhances security operations
The central management needs improvement. The ease of use for updating and managing through the web console is difficult and lacks features. Integration with Mobile Device Management is not good, and controlling client update times can become problematic. If there is a network issue during an update, it can create junk files on the system, filling up disk space.

Offers endpoint protection and data loss prevention functionality
The console is in the cloud, while some of the software runs on on-prem endpoint devices. We use Seqrite Endpoint Security as an antivirus product for its data loss prevention functionality. We configure it to define the types of files that can be attached to emails, and then we receive notifications regarding these actions. Most environments have a sizable number of endpoints. Typically, such environments already have a firewall, providing first-level protection. We have two resources to provide support. I rate the overall product an eight out of ten. It has still not been deployed in large numbers, so I'm unsure if it caters to all security environments. It can reasonably care for smaller setups of around a hundred user clients. For larger numbers of users, it might require a different kind of product.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Support has been helpful."
"The performance is good."
"The network discovery tools they have make deployment easier, and even without an Active Directory or an RMM tool, you can still deploy Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum quite easily compared to other solutions."
"It offers features like system hardening, vulnerability management, patch management, and device control, which are not present in other solutions."
"The product is lightweight and does not slow down the PC. The malware and virus detection rate is also very good."
"The solution is very user friendly, which we appreciate."
"The solution is easy to use."
"I would rate Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum a perfect 10 out of 10."
"The two valuable features are anti-ransomware and data loss protection."
"In case it works, we are looking to use features like USB blocking, file upload alerts, and other antivirus features as well, but this software has to work first."
"The solution's current features include antivirus, web filtering, file activity monitoring, PAM, firewall, IDS/IPS, and DLP. Though I'm not familiar with the whole solution, it is good."
"Endpoint Security's best features are inventory, asset management, and quick scanning."
"The solution effectively detects malicious files and blocks sign-ins."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security is a good solution."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"The solution is stable."

Cons

"We have had some issues updating Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum."
"Security features could be improved."
"They should provide more notifications for incidents and more clarification or information about malicious activity."
"I want the tool’s pricing to improve."
"To increase the benefits of the product, Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service from Kaspersky should be included."
"I rate the technical support between seven and eight out of ten for Kaspersky."
"For improvement, they should make the scanning process faster. The scanning and updating take more time."
"The solution can improve the uninstallation process. The removal of the agent can be difficult. The purpose is for security, but it requires a lot of time and sometimes a special tool."
"Deployment of Seqrite Endpoint Security is generally straightforward. The only complexity we encounter is that, since it is cloud-based, there can be delays in updating the endpoint's status."
"The support offered by the tool is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"We would like the solution to have integration with other security solutions so that we can have a single base for monitoring all the security incidents and concerns."
"Sometimes, small and medium businesses, or even startups with just five, ten, or fifteen systems, are also keen to secure their data. There is a reluctance on the part of the technical team to extend installation support when the opportunity sizes are smaller. Seqrite Endpoint Security has a lot of value. Still, its marketing could be done much better on a larger scale, especially in India, in light of the new DPDP 2023 Act, which the Indian Parliament passed. It would be even more valuable if Seqrite could incorporate features to help companies comply with this law, it would be even more helpful."
"The product or service could be improved by incorporating SIEM integrations to enable the collection of logs."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"The interface is slow."
"In the next version, they should improve the areas of utility and centralized control."

"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is affordability, even for companies with limited budgets, such as those in the Pakistani market. It is a subscription-based license."
