Have maintained strong endpoint protection through behavioral analysis and daily monitoring
I previously mentioned that Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business doesn't have built-in DLP, which was a concern. I think they could add it in the future; however, antivirus cannot provide a proper DLP solution, but they can offer a mix of DLP, similar to Trend Micro Apex One, which provides some sort of DLP file management. Nonetheless, we need a proper DLP solution such as Forcepoint or Symantec, whichever suits us. We'll be conducting performance evaluation in the next quarter while working on other projects. More value means a better GUI, user interface, and comprehensive reporting capabilities. In Sophos, we receive a daily system-generated report about what is happening, plus an alert system. The reporting system in Trend Micro is also excellent; I receive an email every day at 10:00 AM with a report for the last 24 hours.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has helped our company protect the confidential data of our customers."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is a strong yet lightweight tool. It allows us to control machines even when disconnected from the network. In offline mode, we can generate passwords and access the system. The policies it offers are robust."
"The most valuable feature is that it provides total security, everything in one."
"We use the solution for endpoint protection, virus detection, and centralized administration."
"Ability to specify the level of protection on devices,"
"Our clients are using the advanced options, and they're quite comfortable with this solution because they didn't have any problems. It was easy to integrate it with Active Directory. It is fast and easy to use. It has all the required features."
"The solution is secure."
"I appreciate the good control it offers. So, I feel confident using this solution."
"Webroot's tech support is pretty good; they've given me some pointers."
"We've not had any issues with scalability. If an organization needs to expand, they can do so quite easily."
"There aren't any features that really stand out — I just want it to keep malware out of my system. To date, I haven't had any malware in my system."
"Doesn't consume resources or affect the computer performance at all."
"I haven't observed any of the instabilities in the solution. It is a stable solution."
"I like that Webroot is very lightweight. It didn't bog down the machine, and more importantly, it had heuristics artificial intelligence to some degree. It wasn't like full-blown artificial intelligence, but something where you have one endpoint recognizing issues because it maintains a cloud database. If one client recognizes a threat, it would add it to the database, and almost immediately, every agent in the world would also know about that threat. That was very appealing to us. However, now it's becoming commonplace, whereas ventures like Symantec and McAfee were based more on the traditional model of definition and updates, and we were always falling behind. Webroot also has pretty good technical support."
"The solution has many features. It is very easy to define and set the policies based on the user groups, it does not take up a lot of resources in operation, and has provided us with a good track record of protection."
"Valuable features include good scanning, very light footprint and management console that the client can access and (just as important) in which I can see status of groups of computers (I am a consultant, IT role)."

Cons

"It's grown more expensive and customers are not happy about it."
"The UI, user interface, could be improved."
"Kaspersky needs to improve its security techniques as it has not been in Gartner records for the last two years."
"Kaspersky needs to improve its security techniques as it has not been in Gartner records for the last two years."
"We would like to see improved performance and faster deployment in the next release."
"The solution sometimes slows down the computers of our clients, the performance needs to improve."
"The initial setup is complex."
"It needs more computer resources. They should have more anti-spam features."
"I'm not happy with Webroot Business Endpoint Protection, for only one reason. It seems that it slows down my interface when I'm doing programming in Microsoft Access, tremendously."
"I did notice that my OS slowed down, but I don't know if that's due to Webroot."
"It would be great if there was a feature which would allow you to scan an individual file on an endpoint user's computer."
"I believe that Webroot Business Endpoint Protection should offer a more modern UI."
"Unified threat management (UTM) integration."
"There needs to be more advanced analytics. It would make it a more powerful antivirus solution within the marketplace."
"Its detection capability for certain attacks should be improved. It should have better and wider detection for certain malware attacks. It could also have some sort of RMN."
"The reporting is the weakest part of the Webroot console. Frequently, I export to Excel to massage something into it to pass on to others."
