Effective threat predictions, simple to deploy, and light on resources
Malwarebytes's initial setup is simple. It is easy to deploy and configure the policies and the configuration. I deployed Malwarebytes for one customer and I did it in under two days. They had approximately 50 users, it took approximately an hour. The steps I took for the implementation were downloading the Malwarebytes management console from the site, installing it, then running the discovery tool, scanning my network, and checking all of the PCs on my network. It's already pre-configured, you don't need to configure anything. The only configuration that I did on the administration console was some of the exclusion from the scan. This is the only rule that I have created. I rate the initial setup of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

Offers endpoint protection and data loss prevention functionality
The console is in the cloud, while some of the software runs on on-prem endpoint devices. We use Seqrite Endpoint Security as an antivirus product for its data loss prevention functionality. We configure it to define the types of files that can be attached to emails, and then we receive notifications regarding these actions. Most environments have a sizable number of endpoints. Typically, such environments already have a firewall, providing first-level protection. We have two resources to provide support. I rate the overall product an eight out of ten. It has still not been deployed in large numbers, so I'm unsure if it caters to all security environments. It can reasonably care for smaller setups of around a hundred user clients. For larger numbers of users, it might require a different kind of product.

"The endpoint protection and response that allows us to restore a machine back to a pre-infected state are the most valuable features."
"I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
"The most valuable features are the file activity monitors, DLP solutions, and application controls."
"The update process and policy control are good."
"The overall performance of the server and the dashboard are the most interesting aspects of the solution."

"Seqrite Endpoint Security is a good solution."
"The most valuable features of the solution are DLP, XDR, and EDR functionalities."
"We found the DLP to be innovative and useful."

Cons

"There is room for improvement in the way it is deployed, in terms of being able to distribute it. Right now we have to get our hands on a machine to deploy it. It would be nice if there was an easier system."
"The interface could be improved. Currently, you need to really dig around to find the elements you need."
"It's not good in search hunting."
"We experience a lot of false positives."
"I would like to see integration with other vendors going forward."
"A solution must be installed in the main gateway to give an overview of the incoming and outgoing traffic. The technical support team's response time should be faster."
"There are no built-in backups or integrated backup options, which could be an opportunity."
"Malwarebytes is too simplistic. From a SOC IR perspective, it doesn't give you very much data around it. It doesn't tie things or provide SHA-1 and SHA-256 detection information, which makes it hard to do an additional investigation."
"The solution's integration capabilities are moderate and could be improved."
"The cost of the solution can be improved."
"It should be able to detect and report any ransomware attack but currently, it doesn't detect and it doesn't report any."
"Deployment of Seqrite Endpoint Security is generally straightforward. The only complexity we encounter is that, since it is cloud-based, there can be delays in updating the endpoint's status."
"The pricing could be a bit lower."
"In the next version, they should improve the areas of utility and centralized control."
"A handbook of known issues and quick fixes should be given so that troubleshooting and frustration are less."
"User management could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Malwarebytes is a cost-effective product."
"I would say that it's affordable. It costs much less than Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, or anything of that nature. But, at the same time, you are getting what you pay for. So I would say it's one of the best when you're comparing traditional NextGen AVs like Webroot that aren't the best in the bunch."
"The platform pricing is competitive with other antivirus products."
"Its cost is around $60 a machine. The cost of the total solution for 250 people is about $8,500 a year. If we add EDR to it, it will bring that cost up to about $15,000. The cost for Carbon Black is about $25,000, which is $10,000 more, but you get all AI functions with it."
"We expect to pay $1,000 USD a month, depending on the number of users."
"It is really expensive. We've got between 30 and 40 licenses every year, and for the number of licenses that we have, we're finding that Malwarebytes on average costs between $900 and $1,000 more per year than comparable options. We're paying about $3,300 per year for these licenses. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"The licensing is per seat, with clients being a little less expensive than servers. If we need more licenses, we can accomplish that within a day. As Malwarebytes adds new features to their product, such as DNS filtering and a patching module, they want to charge us more even though we're a premium user, which isn't ideal."
"Yearly, it is around $50 per client."
"There is no option to refund the money and unfortunately, we bought a three-year license, seeing that Quick Heal is a long-established player in the market."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis. Compared to other solutions, this solution is cheaper."
"The solution's pricing is good for us, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"We pay approximately $1,500 for licenses for the solution."
"It is a cheaply priced product."
"As per the suggestions from one of the experts we know, it is advisable to make a proper comparison with the local vendors instead of solely relying on online prices, which are often higher and quite expensive."
