Has Simulink feature which helps with visual representations
The tool's most valuable feature is the Simulink environment. This feature provides an incredible capability to visually represent the system behavior before creating the code. It allows you to see the flow and interactions of the system, which is extremely beneficial for software development. With this visual representation, you can better understand the system's behavior, make necessary adjustments, and ensure maintenance and updates. This capability is why I love working with the product. The solution's UI has greatly supported my development process. I would rate it an eight point five out of ten for its user interface. It's easy to explain how a system works, especially if I've created a model in the Simulink environment. Integrating it with other languages or tools has always benefited my projects. Even though I've only used two languages, it has been advantageous overall.

Streamlined workflows with drag and drop convenience but needs enhancements in AI
I use Machine Learning Studio for system reselling and integration Machine Learning Studio is easy to use, with a significant feature being the drag and drop interface that enhances workflow without any complaints. It provides a return on investment and cost savings, proving beneficial for…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The platform's most valuable feature is its field-specific packages, which make it very easy to use."
"Personally for me, because I do a lot of development, I like that it is easy to test mathematical algorithms with several matrix calculations. It's perfect for that."
"The tool's most valuable feature is the Simulink environment. This feature provides an incredible capability to visually represent the system behavior before creating the code. It allows you to see the flow and interactions of the system, which is extremely beneficial for software development. With this visual representation, you can better understand the system's behavior, make necessary adjustments, and ensure maintenance and updates. This capability is why I love working with the product."
"The integration with Azure services enhances workflow and meets my expectations."
"The platform as a service provides user-friendly instruments, making the experience easy."
"MLS allows me to set up data experiments by running through various regression and other machine learning algorithms, with different data cleaning and treatment tools. All of this can be achieved via drag and drop, and a few clicks of the mouse."
"Their support is helpful."
"Azure Machine Learning Studio provides a platform to integrate with large language models."
"It's good for citizen data scientists, but also, other people can use Python or .NET code."
"The solution is integrated with our Microsoft Azure tenant, and we don't have to go anywhere else outside the tenant."
"The interface is very intuitive."

Cons

"In the area of improvement, sometimes there are issues with the speed of MathWorks Matlab, particularly in the Simulink environment. The tool's latest versions can be slow to open, taking significant time to load. Additionally, saving data and integrating models can also be time-consuming processes."
"To make use of the GPU, you have to have an Nvidia card. What I would want it to do is to run in Next Generation with Intel or AMD, and not just with Nvidia."
"One area where the product could improve is in the ease of learning."
"Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio worked okay for me, so right now, I don't have any room for improvement in mind for it. What I'd like added to Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio in its next version is a categorization for use cases or a template that makes the use cases simple to map out, for example, for healthcare, medical, or finance use cases, etc. This would be very helpful for users of Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio, especially for beginners."
"In the Machine Learning Studio, particularly the Designer part, which is essentially Azure's demo designer, there is room for improvement. Many customers and users tend to switch to Microsoft Azure Multi-Joiners, which is a more basic version, but they do so internally. One area that could use enhancement is the process of connecting components. Currently, every time you want to connect a component, such as linking it to your storage or an instance like EC2, you have to input your username and password repeatedly. This can be quite cumbersome. Google, for instance, has made it more user-friendly by allowing easy access for connecting services within a workspace. In a workspace, you can set up various resources like storage, a database cluster, machine learning studio, and more. When connecting these services, there's no need to enter your username and password each time, making it a more efficient process. Another aspect to consider is the role of the designer, and they were to integrate a large language model to handle various tasks, it could significantly enhance the overall scalability and usability of the platform."
"The data processor can pose a bit of a challenge, but the real complexity is determined by the skill of the implementation team."
"n the solution, there is the concept of workspaces, and there is no means to share the computing infrastructure across those workspaces."
"I have found Databricks is a better solution because it has a lot of different cluster choices and better integration with MLflow, which is much easier to handle in a machine learning system."
"I think they should improve two things. They should make their user interface more user-friendly. Integration could also be better. Because Microsoft Machine Learning is a Microsoft product, it's fully integrated with Microsoft Azure but not fully supported for other platforms like IBM or AWS or something else."
"Performance is very poor."
"In terms of data capabilities, if we compare it to Google Cloud's BigQuery, we find a difference. When fetching data from web traffic, Google can do a lot of processing with small queries or functions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a single user license. Support and add-ons are an extra fee."
"The pricing for the software itself is reasonable, and I didn't encounter any additional costs beyond the initial purchase or license."
"From a developer's perspective, I find the price of this solution high."
"I rate the product price as a nine on a scale of one to ten, where ten means it is very expensive."
"On a scale from one to ten, with ten being overpriced, I would rate the price of this solution at six."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"My team didn't deal with the licensing for Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio, so I'm unable to comment on pricing, but the money that was spent on the tool was worth it."
"To use MLS is fairly cheap. Even the paid account is something like $20/month, unless you are provisioning large numbers of VMs for a Hadoop cluster. The main MS makes money with this solution is forcing the user to deploy their model on REST API, and being charged each time the API is accessed. There are several pricing tiers for the API. If you do not use the API, then value of MLS is to create rapid experiments ($20/month). The resulting model is not exportable to use, thus you’ll have to recreate the algorithms in either R or Python, which is what I did. MLS results gave me a direction to work with, the actual work is mostly done in R and Python outside of MLS."
"There is a lack of certainty with the solution's pricing."
"The platform's price is low."
