Faced challenges with configuration and support but have successfully managed migration and backups
I had a negative experience with Microsoft support. Microsoft Azure Data Box helped with streamlining my migration processes, but I was very disappointed in the initial phase because the support team was weak. They should focus and learn end-to-end because when I reach out to Microsoft, that means it is the end, and post that, nobody is there to support me. It is also quite difficult for me to get in line with the product owner, which is one big challenge I faced. Although I mentioned many good things about the product, there is an area for improvement in Microsoft Azure Data Box. They should mention the quick steps for how we are supposed to do it. Once we receive Microsoft Azure Data Box, there should be some support person who reaches out to us with guidance. If they guide us, then I will get to know whether I am in the right direction or wrong direction, rather than searching for support everywhere. It is just unnecessary wastage of time. Post that, they give at least one to two months free of cost. However, post that, if I am unable to migrate my data, then there will be charges.

Unified healthcare pipelines have improved data trust and accelerated operational decisions
One challenge regarding how Palantir Foundry can be improved is the learning curve. Foundry has a very broad ecosystem with Ontology, Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and AI integrations. For new engineers or business users onboarding, it can take time, especially if they are coming from more traditional data platforms. Better documentation, simplified onboarding paths, and more beginner-friendly examples would help accelerate adoption. Another area is debugging complexity. While lineage and monitoring are strong features, troubleshooting deeply interconnected pipelines can still become difficult in a large enterprise environment. Sometimes error logs and pipeline failure messages could be more descriptive or developer-friendly, especially for distributed PySpark jobs. Another pain point is customization limitations in certain UI-driven components. While low-code tools are great for rapid development, highly customized workflows sometimes still require engineering workarounds or deeper technical implementation. The platform is extremely capable, but improvements around usability, debugging experience, DevOps flexibility, and ecosystem openness would make it even more effective for enterprise engineering teams.

"Both time and money were saved since a project that would usually take six months was completed in two to three months."
"With Palantir Foundry, it helps us have better benefits and better return on investment, and also accelerates the right decision in the market."
"Live video sessions enhance the available documentation and allow you to ask questions directly."
"The best features Palantir Foundry offers are the ease of use and the availability of all the different functionalities in a single space, making it a very convenient application to use for varying different purposes such as the workflow I mentioned."
"From my experience, one of the best features Palantir Foundry offers is that you have everything in one ecosystem."

Cons

"I was very disappointed in the initial phase because the support team was weak. They should focus and learn end-to-end because when I reach out to Microsoft, that means it is the end, and post that, nobody is there to support me."
"Currently, I do not see any areas for improvement."
"The product is physically too big. It takes much space and can be hard to fit."
"I think it's a single node solution. If it can be spread out across more of the enterprise and have more segregation in its virtual environment, that would be good."
"I am not confident in this device's ability to perform a network backup in our data center."
"For me it doesn't work well. ... If you are a non-Microsoft shop, to use Microsoft Azure Data Box, you would need to integrate it with your other vendors, and whether or not that will be possible will depend on the platform or platforms that host them."
"Based on my observation, the technical support from Microsoft has drastically gone down in quality compared to the past, which is disappointing as it now takes too long to resolve issues that used to be handled quickly."
"For me it doesn't work well, so I work in Microsoft and non-Microsoft shops."
"Palantir Foundry could be improved by addressing the need for some coding in the Workshop since we cannot expect 100% no-code functionality, especially when dealing with dynamic user input, which requires writing functions in the Code Repository."
"One way Palantir Foundry can be improved is by addressing issues with back-end changes. There were cases where changes made to Palantir Foundry would cause failures across all platforms."
"There is not a wide user base for the solution's online documentation so it is sometimes difficult to find answers."
"There are some issues with scalability because when we are using a really large dataset, the system is rather slow."
"There are still a lot of changes required in Palantir Foundry to make it more usable or easy to use."
"The frontend capabilities of Palantir Foundry could be improved."
"The one area where improvement could be made is the cost of the solution which is quite expensive."
"Palantir Foundry is very accurate, but I would have doubts about its reliability because there have been instances in my current job where we experience untimely application downtime, which has impacted the business significantly, so I think reliability needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"On a scale of one to five, with one being not good and five being competitive, I would rate this solution as a four."
"This is a pay-as-you-go solution, where you pay for the amount of storage space that you are using."
"The product’s pricing is normal for enterprises but higher for SMBs."
"The pricing is based on the size of the appliance needed to store the data."
"Palantir Foundry has different pricing models that can be negotiated."
"The solution’s pricing is high."
"It's expensive."
"Palantir Foundry is an expensive solution."
