Improved security and streamlined cloud deployments have reduced maintenance and simplified troubleshooting
The Visual Studio ID that we are using requires more RAM and IP. Sometimes it goes high on this phone exchange, and it crashes sometimes. We have to review this with Microsoft itself. That is something we do not understand. The breakage goes up, and I think it was the process that decreased, but still partitions are there somehow in Cloudera Selami. We do not even understand what the issue is. I think six more RAM would help.

Good stability and good visibility but requires a better user interface
We're an SAP partner. We do also deploy some clients to the cloud, but 95% of the work we do with the solution is on-premises. I'd rate the solution six out of ten. I'm an architect, so I don't know enough about the implementation side to really be able to share any relevant first-hand experience in regards to setting the solution up.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is not limited in storage, is customizable and simple to use."
"Ease of use, the richness of the libraries and basically very good development tools."
"The most valuable features are the customization and the support moving towards a .Net framework."
"As we are scaling quite nicely on Azure."
"Microsoft .NET Framework reduces the cost of entry and enables the development of applications with mature and enterprise features, thereby lowering the entry barriers."
"The product is evolving, based on the day-to-day needs of our customers and we are making sure to include maximum functionality to support their businesses."
"The most valuable feature is customization."
"The addition of generics to handle common functionality across types, and the more recent upgrade of the dataset to the Entity Framework, has cut development time drastically, while increasing quality and confidence between builds."
"There are many features of the solution that are quite useful. For us, the most valuable aspect may be visibility."

Cons

"Microsoft's strategy is not scalable, especially with the Visual Studio environment."
"Scalability is a bit messy so we're forced to use different solutions for different clustering."
"The product’s reliability needs improvement."
"The price of the Enterprise version is quite high and can be improved."
"The pricing and support have room for improvement. The pricing is too high currently."
"This solution should include Power BI so that we don't have to use any third-party tools."
"The main obstacle in this technology is that it is currently paid."
"The solution is difficult to learn if someone is learning it for the first time."
"The solution could improve its user interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The Microsoft .NET Framework is free of charge, without licensing cost."
"Considering the bigger picture, opting for the Microsoft ecosystem can be beneficial and it is priced well. When relying on entirely open-source solutions, you may encounter challenges associated with dealing with multiple vendors and potentially compromised security measures. However, it is important to note that Microsoft could enhance its performance when it comes to addressing critical security concerns."
"I rate the solution's pricing a two out of ten because .NET is an open-source framework. You don't have to pay for a license."
"We have an annual license, and we pay extra for extended support."
"Microsoft .NET Framework is very cost-effective for corporate users."
"There is a Community Edition that can be used free of charge, but the licensing cost for the Enterprise version is quite high."
"The pricing could be cheaper."
"The solution is a bit costly when compared to open source products or open gear licenses."
