Advanced email filtering has blocked massive spam volumes and prevents unauthorized data leaks
Improvements for Mimecast Advanced Email Security include enhancing the user interface and accessibility, particularly regarding admin capabilities to add or modify user accounts. Streamlining this could improve overall usability and security management for users. Reporting is another area needing improvement in Mimecast Advanced Email Security, as the reports provided are not very easy to decipher. With artificial intelligence being integrated into various tools including Mimecast Advanced Email Security, I believe there is potential to enhance functionality, enabling users to ask specific questions and retrieve concise answers instead of overwhelming data. I choose a nine for Mimecast Advanced Email Security because improvements such as better user interface and artificial intelligence integration features would greatly enhance its usability. While no tool is perfect, these adjustments could greatly elevate Mimecast Advanced Email Security's capabilities.

Inexpensive, with good email security, but the technical support could be improved
We don't have as many problems with email security. They have some areas that could be improved. For example, we also use this solution for email encryption, which was clunky and could be improved, but the email security itself has been excellent. The web interface works well but the Outlook plug-in has been problematic. We've had to uninstall/reinstall it. On some Outlook clients (including mine), it causes Outlook to stop responding. I disabled the Outlook plug-in and only use the web interface.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"In the current environment that the world is in, everyone is trying to hack everyone else, so Project+ definitely helps a lot there."
"The solution offers good technical support."
"The platform's most valuable features are journaling and email archiving, effectively stopping phishing attacks."
"URL inspection works pretty well."
"Mimecast Mailbox Community is an email gateway required for every organization, regardless of size."
"Mimecast Advanced Email Security has positively impacted our organization by securing our environment better than before compared to what we used to configure earlier to deliver the email."
"We're now certain business-critical mail is perfectly protected in multiple ways."
"The product's most valuable features are impersonation protection and phishing countermeasures."
"They do a better job of determining what's real and what's not than most of the other solutions we have tried, and it's been very painless to use."

Cons

"The solution is very expensive."
"The solution is complex and not easy to use."
"We discussed the phishing aspect, the DNS system, and the key rotation."
"Many of our users complain that the system is blocking too many attachments. It's a good practice from a security perspective, but our users think Mimecast is doing too much. It might be something we'll have to adjust."
"I don't think it's ideally suited for maybe a smaller business environment, like, for example, for companies with less than 100 seats."
"Mimecast Email Security is somewhat expensive compared to the competition in the Indian market, and the local presence is lacking as they do not have a local representative currently."
"What can be improved with Mimecast Advanced Email Security is around the Brand Exploit Protect tool; the turnaround times to take down sites or block them in the meantime are a bit slow, and the detection of brand exploitation out in the world could be better."
"For improvement, I would say some of the catalogs, while navigating, were a little tricky."
"Because the encryption has been very clunky, I would rate Zix Email Encryption a seven out of ten."
"They have some areas that could be improved. For example, we also use this solution for email encryption, which was clunky and could be improved, but the email security itself has been excellent."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product price is moderate. I rate the pricing a five out of ten."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the pricing a ten."
"For what it is, the product is overpriced."
"Its price is in the middle range. It is a structured licensing model where there are various components that you can add or choose to add or not."
"Two subscription options are currently offered: monthly and yearly. My suggestion is to opt for the yearly subscription as it can give some discount. The pricing isn't high as other cloud solutions are pricier than Microsoft's offerings."
"It is a bit expensive."
"The customers can select the license packages as per their requirements."
"The licensing costs are per-user for the product that you get with them."
"In terms of pricing, I believe they provide excellent value."
