A Software Solution synchronizing information and activities to other systems that depend on accurate physical infrastructure information
Nylte is quite intricate to use. Training someone to navigate the platform would likely require a substantial investment, ranging from one to two months for basic proficiency, followed by an additional two to three months of consistent use to gain full proficiency. Despite its complexity, I believe there is room for simplification, making it more user-friendly. While there have been improvements, there is potential for further enhancements in this area.

Event management, Dynamic plugin and Reporting need to be improved.
Event management, Dynamic plugin and Reporting need to be improved. The software features and monitoring are not as expected, especially the Dynamic plug-in and Trap processing. There are many basics and important features which are lacking such as event alarms for temperature and hot spot. This software is build around its own Raritan hardware, therefore to use for non-Raritan hardware could be a challenge and tricky at times.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The power management aspect of nlyte provides a comprehensive overview of power consumption and forecasting capabilities. It allows for strategic planning, such as assessing the impact of adding new racks with specific power requirements. This feature facilitates considerations not only for power consumption but also for thermal aspects, including airflow dynamics between hot and cold aisles. In essence, the most advantageous feature of nlyte sfor us lies in its power management capabilities."
"The layout of the Data Centers structure and navigator has helped and improved the way we monitor and address the power and cooling issues as well as the power consumption and capacity planning."

Cons

"Nylte is quite intricate to use. Training someone to navigate the platform would likely require a substantial investment, ranging from one to two months for basic proficiency, followed by an additional two to three months of consistent use to gain full proficiency. Despite its complexity, I believe there is room for simplification, making it more user-friendly. While there have been improvements, there is potential for further enhancements in this area."
"This is the area that will be a let down for most of the bigger organizations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We currently hold a perpetual license, and our expenditure is limited to support costs. While I recall that the new license model follows a subscription-based SaaS approach, I don't have the precise cost details as we are not actively using it at the moment."
