Authentication process improves security with quick and intuitive user interface
The best feature is the speed and execution of Okta Workforce Identity. The moment you click on single sign-on, you immediately get the notification on your mobile phone, then you do the authentication and within a second you get authenticated. The entire customer experience is very good. The user interface is pretty simple, straightforward, and really good. Multi-factor authentication in Okta Workforce Identity is very useful so people who do not have access or are trying to access using just a user ID and password will be completely blocked because of this two-factor authentication. You will get the code, and as your device is authorized in the system, only that device can be used for the authentication purpose. A third person trying to access or hack your data will not be able to do that anymore. Additionally, you don't have to remember your passwords going forward. Previously, every 60 days or 90 days, passwords kept changing. With the two-factor authentication or single sign-on option in Okta Workforce Identity, you don't have to remember it anymore or write down passwords in plain text. If something goes wrong, we have the IAM team which can unlock your account immediately if you have issues.

Streamlined compliance process with custom control framework and AI-driven security questionnaire management
Vanta has made the security questionnaire process much easier, thanks to AI. It automatically extracts answers and populates them within the SIG. The custom control framework allows me to incorporate our HITRUST controls and additional ISO twenty-seven thousand and one and financial controls. Moreover, it includes a knowledge bank for questionnaires and RFPs, making information updates more streamlined.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"My total rating for Okta is ten out of ten."
"The most valuable feature is the identity access authentication."
"It is flexible and easy to install."
"We find the solution to be stable."
"The most valuable feature in Okta Workforce Identity is the single sign-on, universal directory, and lifecycle management."
"We face no challenges in integrating the product with our legacy systems."
"The product is easy to use."
"This solution has a lot of capabilities and features."
"It's the only current GRC vendor with licensing rights for HITRUST 11.3 framework, and I've avoided expensive HITRUST licensing costs through a custom control framework."

Cons

"The lifecycle management part can be improved. It should also have identity governance and the ability to choose a specific factor authentication at the application level. Its licensing and pricing can also be improved."
"There are some issues with the interface that can be improved."
"In my country, there's a lot of stealing of mobile phones, and mobile phones are the authentication device through the Okta application. If someone should steal my mobile phone, which is very common in my country, he or she might have access to my company account. That's my concern."
"The product is expensive compared to other tools."
"We had some implementation issues."
"Support could be a bit faster."
"The solution's user interface needs to be improved and made easy."
"It only facilitates provisioning and not de-provisioning."
"The support experience could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost per user for this solution is really high and could be reduced."
"The solution is not the cheapest but not the most expensive. They are in the middle rating."
"The price of Okta Workforce Identity is reasonable."
"This is an expensive solution but the security makes it worthwhile."
"License is around US$20,000 annually."
"The pricing for Okta Workforce Identity could still be improved or made cheaper. It costs from 50 to 100 euros a year per user. Okta Workforce Identity has different packages you can choose from, and my previous company had all of them, particularly the full Okta suite."
"It is costly for large companies."
"The product has a user-based license model."

Pricing for Okta is reasonably not that much, however, I don't have access to the commercial aspect.

The overall price point of Vanta is commendable, especially considering the custom control framework that allows me to evade the high costs associated with HITRUST licensing.
