User access management excels but needs enhancements with integration capabilities
I was aware of that because I used to manage these solutions earlier on, but it was purchased by the Procurement team, so I was not involved in any of those. There are certain details I may not be able to disclose currently, but we can speak in general about a number of products and tools that are ongoing. I have not been using access management controls here, so I don't have the latest features or details or hands-on experience in that space. I cannot share all the details about the improvements in security operations since we were exploring some products, but I'm familiar with Saviynt as I was one of their partners for other solutions, and currently, I cannot disclose a lot of performance related to my current roles.

Streamlined compliance process with custom control framework and AI-driven security questionnaire management
Vanta has made the security questionnaire process much easier, thanks to AI. It automatically extracts answers and populates them within the SIG. The custom control framework allows me to incorporate our HITRUST controls and additional ISO twenty-seven thousand and one and financial controls. Moreover, it includes a knowledge bank for questionnaires and RFPs, making information updates more streamlined.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features include its ability to integrate with AI and machine learning, the automation of reports, and the built-in connectors that enable easy connection with both legacy and cloud-based applications."
"It offers a single source of truth. Everything can be handled from one tier."
"User provisioning and the role management features are good."
"I find the built-in connectors, lifecycle management, certification, and recertification features to be the most valuable."
"The compliance features are the most valuable features."
"Great product to manage the access control of users."
"It provides a lot of out-of-the-box functionalities. You don't have to do too much custom development like other solutions such as Microsoft or NetIQ. It also has a lot of out-of-the-box connectors for different sources, directories, databases, etc. Its cloud version is working very well, and its pricing is okay. Its value for money is fine for most of the customers. It is also very flexible. They have frequent new releases and patches for fixing errors and things like that."
"I am satisfied with the overall performance and stability."
"It's the only current GRC vendor with licensing rights for HITRUST 11.3 framework, and I've avoided expensive HITRUST licensing costs through a custom control framework."

Cons

"Broke down several times during my 4 months but overall the delays were mostly minor."
"The interface can improve, and the product could become a little cheaper."
"Additional details during account aggregation failures to help quick troubleshooting."
"The cost of this solution is high. The technical assistance center could be improved. They're very good, but considering the intricacies of the solution, they can further improve."
"SailPoint lacks some features like privileged account management and access management features found in products like Okta."
"The user interface could be slightly improved. It could be made simpler and more user-friendly, however, it is good enough right now."
"SailPoint lacks some features like privileged account management and access management features found in products like Okta."
"The solution needs to have more out-of-the-box integration with different applications and solutions."
"The support experience could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is a little bit higher than other tools."
"I rate the solution a seven on a scale where one is cheap and ten is too expensive. In short, the solution falls under the higher side of pricing."
"It's difficult to say that the solution saved costs because it is quite expensive."
"SailPoint is higher in price as compared to Saviynt. The initial cost of SailPoint is very high. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
"I found the pricing to be relatively high."
"The price of the solution could improve, it is not priced well for smaller businesses to afford."
"The licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"As per my knowledge, it runs on a paid partnership model, but I am not sure about it."

Questions from the Community

How does Sailpoint IdentityIQ compare with CyberArk PAM?
We evaluated Sailpoint IdentityIQ before ultimately choosing CyberArk. Sailpoint Identity Platform is a solution to manage risks in cloud enterprise environments. It automates and streamlines the m...
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for SailPoint IdentityIQ?
The product is expensive. People need to opt for a licensing plan for one year or three years.
What advice do you have for others considering SailPoint IdentityIQ?
You can use SailPoint Atlas to take identity security to the next level. In SailPoint IIQ, writing a custom connector using the open source framework is a good option.
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for Veza?
The overall price point of Vanta is commendable, especially considering the custom control framework that allows me to evade the high costs associated with HITRUST licensing.
What needs improvement with Veza?
The support experience could be better. We often need to escalate our issues to the account executive to receive a response, especially when support is needed for integrations.
What is your primary use case for Veza?
We are currently in the implementation stages of Vanta. It's been challenging to build out as it is not as intuitive as OneTrust, especially in terms of scoping and needs.
