Good support, stable, and offers encryption at both the column and table level
The most valuable feature is the data encryption option for columns and tables. We are also getting the benefit of detection data. If I want to share data with another Oracle user then the data sharing is automatically detected. We don't need to modify anything. This is a complete security solution and all of the features that we are using are available off the shelf.

Automated data masking and provisioning has improved compliance and accelerated secure testing workflows across cloud environments
Some of the best features of Perforce Delphix include its automation of sensitive data discovery and masking with referential integrity for Aurora and RDS, as well as support for diverse data sources including Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, its GUI workflows simplify the creation and scheduling of masking jobs and enhance data governance in cloud hybrid and on-premises environments. Perforce Delphix can deliver up to 25 terabytes of data in just minutes, making it approximately 100 times faster for development and testing needs. Perforce Delphix has positively impacted my organization by saving us 70 to 80% of the time, which has enabled us to complete data sprints earlier, and it has also helped reduce costs. The time to complete one story point has decreased from 10 hours to around 4 or 5 hours, leading to substantial cost savings. Furthermore, it's effective in managing scaled agile enterprise data management, as we orchestrate and govern masking jobs across multiple teams and agile release trains to ensure data privacy standards are maintained.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature is the data encryption option for columns and tables."
"The features that are the most used by the customers and partners are, at the moment, for GDPR, so obviously data encryption and data reduction. Our customers also like the partitioning option."
"Overall, it is a good solution and I can recommend it to anybody who wants to encrypt columnar data and protect it against theft."
"I have obtained a very large gain in database virtualization with Perforce Delphix, as I can deliver environments very quickly, in a matter of hours or even minutes depending on the size of the production database I want to replicate, and the storage savings are also very large, as Perforce Delphix is able to compress the data and provide very significant savings for my company."
"The most valuable feature is VDB provisioning."
"Our primary use case is cloning databases, and we can complete this process in minutes."
"If the price is good for your budget, don’t miss it, it makes your life easier than before."
"Using Perforce Delphix has helped most of our customers be 58% faster in developing new applications."
"It provides the ability to roll back to a point in time or roll forward without the assistance of a DBA."
"Perforce Delphix itself has helped us enable data masking in a very seamless and efficient manner."
"Without a doubt, the most valuable feature of Delphix is VDB provisioning, which has the ability to provision virtual databases and provide us with a huge reduction in storage requirements, enabling us to provision databases on demand at a fraction of the storage requirement that we would have needed without it."

Cons

"Encrypting a single column is straightforward, but encrypting at the table level requires more work and takes longer to complete."
"Having a single command to encrypt a table would be an improvement."
"It is really constrained as an environment because you cannot change something that would be useful. It is a very good product because it is very similar to what you have on-premises. Yes, it is constrained, but it is expected because it is a platform as a service so it has to be constrained."
"It is hard to answer whether I would advise someone to use Perforce because the market has moved far ahead of Perforce."
"Perforce Delphix can be optimized."
"I feel that Perforce Delphix could use improvements in certain areas."
"Faster data masking."
"Occasionally, issues arise with VDBs, which can become corrupted, making data retrieval impossible and possibly resulting in data loss."
"Could be improved with richer reporting capabilities."
"If the data is unique and cannot be masked using the Perforce Delphix built-in algorithms, creating customized algorithms as per the requirement becomes difficult."
"The initial implementation learning curve could be improved, as it is challenging for newcomers to navigate."
