Integrated workflows have transformed security reviews and provide end-to-end risk visibility
The best features that Ox Security offers include real-time visibility and actionable intelligence. Also, I love the intuitive interface and seamless integrations. Regarding the features of Ox Security, I love the pipeline functionality, which allows the creation of customized workflows based on scan results, making prevention and notification processes highly adaptable. I also love the visibility it provides, which is end-to-end security visibility covering the entire development lifecycle from code writing and storage to security testing, deployment, and infrastructure management. I also love its powerful pipeline system, which enables us to automate notifications to relevant teams based on issue origin and type while also enforcing security policies by blocking new code when prohibited issue types are detected. The intuitive interface makes it easy to pinpoint vulnerabilities early, prioritize critical issues, and streamline remediation processes. The seamless integration with existing DevOps tools ensures that security insights flow naturally into development workflows without creating bottlenecks. I also love the real-time visibility and actionable intelligence. It fosters a security-first mindset, boosting both the confidence of my development team and the overall resilience of our applications. Regarding Ox Security's AI capabilities, I find its governance and security capabilities to be very strong, particularly in helping us identify risks and maintaining visibility across the software development process. I also value the focus on data protection, access control, and responsible use of AI. The AI capabilities are generally accurate and reliable, especially in helping us identify vulnerabilities and highlighting potential risks very easily. They help us reduce manual effort and speed up security reviews.

Web scanning needs improvement but offers good vulnerability detection
The downside of Qualys Web Application Scanning is that it cannot crawl automatically. If I provide an IP address and a login form, it does basic testing, but it doesn't go deep as IBM AppScan does. If Qualys Web Application Scanning could improve its crawling capability, it would be more user-friendly. Qualys Web Application Scanning does IP-level testing, requiring direct input of credentials, and can only scan a few pages to provide known generic vulnerabilities, which isn't as beneficial from my point of view. The Vulnerability Management also relies heavily on version numbers and will flag vulnerabilities based on the component version, but it doesn't check if a real fix exists, leading to flags on components that actually have workarounds available.

"As a service provider, I believe the biggest advantage of Ox Security is its simplicity and the clarity of the issues, along with a very good dashboard showing the state of the company."
"It combines both web application vulnerability management and internal vulnerability management on one platform and dashboard. Usually, you have to purchase separate tools."
"The best thing about this product is that it is really easy to use."
"It is a cloud-based solution, so it is easy to scale."
"Its most valuable features are patch management, vulnerability management, and PCI compliance."
"The vulnerability management feature is a strong one. And also the patch management feature."
"Automated scanning has significantly improved our web application security management by reducing manual work."
"Qualys Web Application Scanning is user-friendly, easy to understand, easy to use, and easy to deploy."
"WAS gave us visibility into our externally exposed web applications and showed us vulnerabilities that we were not aware of and did not know how to test for."

Cons

"The main pain point I have with Ox Security as a tool is the user interface, which can feel quite complex when navigating large datasets."
"My overall review rating for Ox Security is zero."
"One area that Ox Security could improve is the dashboard customization and reporting."
"The UI is not user-friendly and you don't have a yearly reporting facility where you can slice and dice in different jobs."
"Deployment can be complicated."
"The GUI could be a little less complicated as it opens a lot of new windows for creating search lists, templates, reports, or for scanning purposes."
"One area for improvement is the user interface. The new UI, which was recently upgraded, feels more complex and less user-friendly than the old version."
"I would like it to be cheaper because it is a bit expensive compared to competitors like Tenable Nessus."
"The tool should have a live HTTP editor and more configuration options for some situations, such as handling applications that have URL rewriting enabled."
"We procured around 110 licenses for Web Application Scanning, but we have issues running concurrent scans."
"The reporting contains too many false positives."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The product pricing is fair and reasonably priced."
"We normally purchase an annual license."
"The product has a very good licensing model."
"Qualys has an IT-based licensing based on a yearly license, which is a good way of handling it. However, in some cases, when we do the PCI scanning, the host will not like the scanning and we lose the IT license. So, this could be improved."
"There are different options available with respect to licensing."
"I rate the software’s pricing a six out of ten."
"Try the free trial of the product to understand the basic working mechanisms."
"Qualys WAS' pricing is competitive."
