Data pipelines have become streamlined and now connect diverse sources with strong support
How Rivery can be improved is a challenging question, but I think something with the graphics could be better because when there is a lot of code inside, it needs to be more user-friendly. I am not talking about the source-to-target, but when we implement a lot of code, you need a different visual of how you use it, such as what you see in DBT. There is a problem where sometimes I run a river and something in the UI does not get refreshed because I think of browser cache limits, which is annoying. I always need to refresh, and then I am not sure, so I have to go inside the river and look in the log to see if it has finished or not, which takes my time. At the end of the day, when I am running the river, I need it to be done before I go to the next step. Something in the UI could work more smoothly to show it easily. I am not sure why it happens, and I am not sure if there is a solution for it, but if it could be more clear, that would be very nice, such as sending an email once the river is really done.

Has automated manual tasks and simplified integration with pre-built connectors while supporting AI use cases
The tool is very user-friendly and not complex to understand. The structure of the platform is easy to understand, and we can build multiple systems with low-code, no-code, so it doesn't require much coding language. Now it is moving more into APIs, so we can create APIs to transfer data, which we can manage. It's moving into AI, so we can create AI agents with LLM models. We can use most of the LLM such as Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, Azure AI. With those Snaps, we can integrate and move more into the AI world. SnapLogic is hosted on Groundplex and AWS cloud. It has pre-built connectors, which we call Snaps. That is very helpful to connect with multiple systems. We have a dashboard monitor that is very graphical. We can measure exact times in seconds and how much time it took to complete the process. With that help, it's really helpful to see how much memory consumption is utilized. The monitor structure has very good features for SnapLogic. SnapLogic is an integration tool which we use to integrate multiple systems such as source system, target system, cloud systems, and Groundplex systems. It is an iPaaS tool and a very strong tool. Now it is moving more into APIs and AI/ML tools; it is improving their knowledge. It is helpful for creating SnapLogic agents. In this way, SnapLogic is expanding their work.

Pros

"Rivery has positively impacted my organization by enabling us to create a stable pipeline, and we can expand the variety of the data sources as we go very easily, with no worries, and with a lot of confidence in the fact that it can be done."
"Connects to many APIs in the market and new ones are being added all the time."
"The solution's most valuable features are that it is quick to connect and simple to use."
"Rivery has positively impacted my organization by helping me streamline my data ingestion and transformation processes, especially in combination with Snowflake."
"It is a scalable solution."
"By using snaps instead of functions in code, you can see the building blocks of the integration visually. This helps a lot."
"Overall product rating is nine out of ten."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"SnapLogic has helped automate manual data transfers, improved workflow efficiency, and significantly reduced the integration development timelines, which is a measurable outcome."
"SnapLogice is a low-code development tool."
"I find SnapLogic to be user-friendly, especially for beginners with limited experience in data engineering or ETL."
"It is a stable solution."

Cons

"Pricing is a little steep for smaller organizations, I would say. The product's pricing model could be a little bit better."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was unfortunately not so good in my recent data project."
"Lineage and an impact analysis or logic dependency are lacking."
"Ultra Pipelines provides real-time ingestion but it needs some adjustment."
"I am looking for more scheduling options. When it comes to scheduling, there are different tools in the market."
"What could be improved in SnapLogic is that it was not capable in terms of processing a large number of datasets, but at that point, SnapLogic was evolving. It didn't give a lot of Snaps. I heard recently there are a lot of Snaps getting added and the solution was being enhanced, particularly to connect different data sources. When I was working with SnapLogic six months to one year back, I faced the issue of it not being capable of handling a huge volume of datasets or didn't have much of Snaps, and that was the drawback. If there is any large number of data sets, that's based on or depends on your configuration. If it is a huge volume of data, other traditional ETL tools such as Informatica and Talend can process millions and billions of records, while in SnapLogic, the Snaplex fails or it returns an error in terms of processing that huge volume of data. Informatica, Talend, or any other ETL tool can run for hours in terms of jobs, while SnapLogic jobs fail when the threshold is reached. SnapLogic isn't able to withstand processing, but I don't know if that's still an issue at present, because the solution is getting enhanced and it's been more than six months to one year since I last worked with SnapLogic. There are now a lot of Snaps getting added to the solution, and if it can overcome the limitations I mentioned, SnapLogic could be the go-to tool because currently, it's not being used as much in organizations. It's being used comparatively less compared to other retail tools."
"One area for improvement in SnapLogic is the transparency in the flow of data. It needs to have more transparency. Right now, users only have a preview option at the end of any job flow, so at the end of any Snap Pack, there is a data preview option that lets you review the data and see how it's moving. What would make the solution better is more debugging and more access to change data from the preview panel or more functionality in terms of the preview option."
"SnapLogic should have some inbuilt protocol mechanism in order to speed up."
"I would like to see more performance-related dashboards, ones that display the cost of a pipeline, for instance. Also, it would be helpful to have management dashboards for overseeing pipelines and connections."
"The biggest issue we have faced in our company with SnapLogic is regarding the EDI format"
"Some advanced features lack detailed documentation, and debugging complex pipelines could be more intuitive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the tool's price as six out of ten if I consider the lowest price to be one and the highest price to be ten."
"The license model is based on consumption."
"SnapLogic's price is high compared to the other tools available in the market."
"It is a higher initial cost than other easy-to-use integration apps."
"I used the free trial."
"They have pricing/usage tiers that are easy to move up or down."
"The pricing is okay."
"The cost with SnapLogic is an annual license and better than Informatica."
"When comparing it with solutions like Apigee or MuleSoft, it still offers better value."
