Efficient documentation generation through organized model structure with a good price-performance ratio
Whenever I begin a new project with Sparx, I have to spend time training people on how to use it since it is not straightforward. Although it's a powerful product with plenty of features, it's not easy for even experienced users to find their way without guidance. This is not the most user-friendly solution.

"Initially, I used the temporary license for capturing some initial requirements on a new project restricting my use to the Desktop Edition."
"The system provides powerful tools for obtaining reports and documentation."
"Supporting all of the important architecture modeling notations and all types and levels of architecture modeling in a secure, collaborative, and well-integrated model repository is really unifying and beneficial."

Cons

"I would rate EA as a 5/10 as an "Enterprise Architecture" requirements platform, mainly as it lacks the ability to lock specific objects, object types to specific users or user groups."
"The product inherently does not support analysis of the models."
"In a future release, they should improve portfolio planning."
"It would be nice to have it supported on the Linux operating system."
"Even if there are web-based tools in the Enterprise Architecture tool ecosystem (like Prolaborate), the main modeling application is still a fat client application."
"UML analysis needs to improved."
"I would like to see integration with Confluence or any other TRM, and the capability to integrate with the data storage, such as a repository similar to GitHub."
"Yes one must invest a little time in learning how to use the tool."
"This product could probably do with less features rather than more. It is overly complicated."
