Endpoint security with monitored support that is stable and easy to setup
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is the monitored support behind it."
  • "This solution covers the endpoint and protects your files, users, devices, and network significantly better than the other solutions in the market."
  • "Most of their times are in Greenwich Mean Time. I would like to see more local time zones."
  • "Functions-wise, at present the times for events are not a user's local time, but we assume that will be corrected soon."

What is our primary use case?

This solution covers the endpoint. It protects your files, users, devices, and network significantly better than the other solutions in the market.

How has it helped my organization?

We are much less concerned about the new threats of attack that keep evolving and could negatively impact our data and our reputation.  For example the SolarWinds breach of December 2020; we could feel quite comfortable that the IOC's had already been incorporated into the detection and prevention engine.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the monitored support behind it. The CyOp's team remains a great partner to protect us and help us feel safer.

What needs improvement?

There has not been much that I could currently identify as major areas for improvement, experience in the US Market will come because while newer to the US market their support has been very good and the solution solid.

Functions-wise, at present the times for events are not a user's local time, but we assume that will be corrected soon. It would nice to be able to see local time zone capability.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been proactively using Cynet for nine months and are using the current version. It is great to automatically get updated to the most current version without worrying about the implementation process.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's a very stable solution and has never been down for us.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cynet is scalable, but for us, we deal with much smaller the product can scale to. We are dealing with 50 to 100 endpoint implementations, but the solution was capable of handling 50,000 to 100,000 and even larger 250,000 plus environments with what appeared to be no issues from our discussions.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support has been awesome and very responsive. We haven't had any issues.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

This product is better than Carbon Black and many of the others that we considered, which seemed more limited in what areas of attack that were covered, or compared to SentinelOne there seemed to be greater transparency of information accessible with Cynet360 across the endpoint.

How was the initial setup?

It was the easiest setup you could have wanted. It took maybe ten minutes  for over 100 endpoints and 5 to move devices from detection to prevention methods.

What about the implementation team?

We worked directly with Cynet and their support was awesome. The implementation was so smooth, that in the time it took for the engineer to explain the install process it had already deployed to hundreds of devices.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's a subscription. Our implementation is as a managed service provider. Our billing was flexible.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did basic reviews of other solutions such as SentinelOne and CarbonBlack, but the CyOps backing for the solution was a game changer all integrated for us. Their expertise and responsiveness remains a highlight still.

What other advice do I have?

I have been doing information security for 35 years and this is a product that I recommend.

I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.

Easy to use with great pricing and good stability
Pros and Cons
  • "The product is very easy to use. Customers really appreciate that."
  • "They really have a solid product that will save companies a lot of money in licensing costs if they give them a try."
  • "The solution just needs to keep maturing and they need to keep up with the threat landscape to ensure they're protecting clients well as time passes."

What is our primary use case?

The main use case is just dealing with flat bounced zero-day threats. Clients typically migrate to older solutions. They can catch threats better. The solution is easy to manage and protects them. That's really what most of them want. A lot of the clients I deal with them are in the SMB space. Typically, they don't have anything too robust to begin with. They're just looking for something to get them to the next step, and this solution is perfect for that.

What is most valuable?

The general flexibility of the solution is its most valuable aspect.

The product is very easy to use. Customers really appreciate that.

There's 24/7 monitoring, which is nice.

The initial setup is straightforward.

The scalability is very good. It's an acceptable product for organizations of all sizes.

The stability is great.

What needs improvement?

I can't think of anything, in particular, I would like to see changed. For our customers, it covers everything they need.

The solution just needs to keep maturing and they need to keep up with the threat landscape to ensure they're protecting clients well as time passes.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been dealing with the solution for about a year or so. It hasn't been too long.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very, very stable. I haven't come across any issues in that regard. There aren't bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's pretty reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's very scalable. We have clients ranging from a couple of hundred users, to less than a hundred users to a couple of thousand users. It's been used at different scales and always expands to whatever the company needs. It works for all sizes of organizations.

We have over 40,000 clients, some of which may increase usage in the future.

How are customer service and technical support?

I've dealt with their technical support and I would give them an A rating. We've been satisfied with their level of service. They respond and they are quite knowledgeable.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup isn't too complex. It's pretty easy and straightforward for the most part.

Deployment doesn't take very long. It's quick as well.

You don't need more than one or two internal people to handle the solution in terms of maintenance. The solution handles the backend support and monitors for very little money. It's all part of the package.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is quite good, compared to the competition.

What other advice do I have?

We're on the cloud, so we typically are using the latest version of the solution.

We have a partnership with Cynet.

The solution isn't as well known as Carbon Black or McAfee or Symantec, however, they really have a sold product. It will save companies a lot of money in licensing costs if they give them a try.

I'd rate them ten out of ten. They're fantastic, and the pricing is great.

A feature-rich, all in one security solution with good technical support
Pros and Cons
  • "We are using almost all of the features and we find it quite good overall."
  • "This is one of the best technologies that we have had available in many years and it is a solution that I recommend."
  • "I would like to see support for mobile protection and some additional reports included."

What is our primary use case?

We are system integrators for Cynet and we also use this solution ourselves.

What is most valuable?

We are using almost all of the features and we find it quite good overall.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see support for mobile protection and some additional reports included.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Cynet for about seven months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

This product is quite stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

This is a scalable solution.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support has been excellent. We provide support to our customers and we get support directly from the vendor.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is quite easy compared to other products.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Everything is included in this one solution and the pricing is pretty competitive.

What other advice do I have?

Nobody else offers you emergency management or video analysis, and there is a roadmap of features that are coming soon.

This is one of the best technologies that we have had available in many years and it is a solution that I recommend. It is an antivirus solution but it is much more than that.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Easy to set up and use, good customer support, and can be managed from mobile devices
Pros and Cons
  • "This solution requires less management and is very easy to use."
  • "Our clients choose Cynet because it is both simple to use and comprehensive."
  • "A support center in Asia is needed."

What is our primary use case?

We are a technical services company and we provide this solution to our customers, as well as use it ourselves.

Cynet is a breach protection platform.

What is most valuable?

This solution requires less management and is very easy to use.

Cynet can be controlled from a mobile device such as an iPad or an iPhone.

What needs improvement?

They need to create an Android app to support more mobile devices.

A support center in Asia is needed.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Cynet for the past eight months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

This solution is very much stable. The product is very mature and we have not seen any bugs.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability is very good. Our clients who use Cynet are medium-sized and enterprise-level businesses.

How are customer service and technical support?

The customer support is good, although they should have a center for support available in Asia.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have worked with many other solutions including McAfee, Symantec, CrowdStrike, Cylance, and solutions from Microsoft.

Our clients choose Cynet because it is both simple to use and comprehensive. It's a complete solution and you don't have to buy anything else.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is extremely easy. It is better than any product on the market.

It will take a few hours to deploy to a huge team of 10,000 to 15,000 people.

What about the implementation team?

We deployed this solution in-house and one person is enough for the task.

We have not more than ten people who maintain this solution. Some of them control it using mobile apps.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It gives you a high level of protection at a very good price.

What other advice do I have?

This is a brilliant solution. I recommend it and my advice is simply to go ahead and implement it.

I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.

Unique graphical user interface that is different from the others on the market
Pros and Cons
  • "The feature I find most valuable is the reality graphical user interface, which I think is really different from the others on the market."
  • "I think the technical support could be better. When I contacted them, I had to wait a week before getting an answer."

What is most valuable?

The feature I find most valuable is the reality graphical user interface, which I think is really different from the others on the market. I also like the audit function that is included in the standard version.

What needs improvement?

Something that needs to improve is the mobile support and support for work tablet equipment. The technical support from Cynet could also be better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Cynet for about eight months now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I think Cynet is a stable solution. So far I didn't have any problems or issues with stability. I haven't had a possibility to check how fast Cynet can crack on a new epic selector on the market, so I do not know how quickly the solution can develop a new version.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I haven't tried to scale, so I am not sure if it is a scalable solution.

How are customer service and technical support?

I think the technical support could be better. When I contacted them, I had to wait a week before getting an answer.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others about this solution will depend on the type of customer. Small customers don't care about whatever system they use, so my advice would be to undertake it under the control of the Cynet site because it's not necessary to adapt their own security teams who take care about security. When it comes to the efficiency of the system, we can have only one system and be more efficient not having to care about training others for security. So it seems to me that Cynet is really good enough for many customers.

In the next version, I would like to see more support for mobile equipment. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate Cynet a seven.
