HPE Nimble Storage Reviews

We are resellers and HPE Nimble Storage is one of the products that we provide to our customers. We are not end-users of the solution.

The most valuable features are the HPE Performance Cluster Manager (HPCM) and InfoSight.

InfoSight is helpful because it is proactive support.

The stability can be improved.

I have been working with HPE Nimble Storage for approximately two years.

This product scales well.

The vendor has a lot of support available.

We also work with HPE Primera.

The initial setup is not complex at all. You can set it up in just a few minutes.

The pricing for this product is somewhat high.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

We use HPE Nimble Storage for virtual infrastructure by VMware and for Oracle databases.

The most valuable features are the duplication and compression traffic. We have second storage that we can use for the synchronization of data between the data centers.

The HPE Nimble Storage could have better integration with monitoring and machine learning system information solutions.

I have been using HPE Nimble Storage for approximately two years.

HPE Nimble Storage has been stable.

The scalability is good.

There is an excellent support team with HPE Nimble Storage.

HPE Nimble Storage has helped our customers. It has saved them money for the future.

I rate HPE Nimble Storage a ten out of ten.

The most valuable feature is the NVMe flash storage.

We would like there to be more enhanced features.

I have been using the solution HPE Nimble Storage for approximately one year.

The stability and performance are very good.

The solution is easy to scale, but there are some limitations. We would like to add more storage but there are certain limitations.

We have a small environment, and six people are using this solution in my organization on a daily basis.

We had some issues with the configuration and we contacted support. We were satisfied.

HPE did the implementation of the solution for us with their certified engineers and it took approximately one week.

HPE Nimble Storage is more expensive than some of the other solutions, such as Pure Storage. They charge more for every feature than other vendors.

We are not utilizing the maximum functions. We are utilizing the protect facilities. 

HPE Nimble Storage is a good solution. it is useable in a production environment. However, the useability all depends on the environment. After a year if you want to renew the support, or have enhancements it is going to cost you more. Planning is very important.

We have switched from HPE Nimble Storage and we now use Pure Storage. 

I rate HPE Nimble Storage an eight out of ten.

We are using HPE Nimble Storage of backing up our data.

HPE Nimble Storage is quick to release updates that fix bugs or problems and the failover has been good.

The solution could improve by having more granularity. For example, having the ability to go deeper into specific IO channels or specific latency issues that can happen would be a benefit. HPE has this ability on their side but it would be useful to have it on our side.

Replication reporting is a bit difficult to figure out and could improve in the future. It would be helpful if they had a breakdown detailed report that one could provide to upper management.

The support is very good at being proactive in helping us resolve issues. They have been better than most other competitors in this area.

It is a sound solution and we have not had many issues.

I rate HPE Nimble Storage a nine out of ten.

In general, the solution works great. We haven't had any issues with it.

It's very reliable. Even if one control fails, it automatically turns on the other controller and everything moves from one to the second instantaneously without any issues.

The product is quite robust.

Nimble is costlier than EqualLogic, for example. If they could reduce the cost, that would be ideal.

I've been dealing with the solution for the last three years. It's been a while. 

The solution has been very stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.

We have dealt with technical support, and we haven't had any issues with them. We are satisfied with the level of support on offer.

I'm also familiar with EqualLogic.

The price of the solution is a little high, although the performance is very good.

We are using the most up-to-date version of the solution, however, I cannot speak to the exact version number. 

I'd rate the solution at a ten out of ten. We haven't had any issues. 

We use HPE Nimble Storage for general purposes, not for high performance, just for archiving and backup solutions.

It is easy to use. Not too complicated.

The scalability could be better.

I have been working with HPE Nimble Storage for three years.

We have no issues with the stability of this solution, it's stable enough.

HPE Nimble Storage does not scale well. It needs improvement.

We have 50 users in our organization who are using it.

Technical support is good. I would rate the support a nine out of ten.

The installation is straightforward.

We had the help of HP and other consultants, it took two days to install and deploy this solution.

We pay a one-time fee for terabyte licenses, and the support is paid yearly.

There are costs in addition to the licensing fee, but it's included in the hardware.

My recommendation of this solution would depend on who is interested in using it, and what the purpose of using it would be.

I would rate HPE Nimble Storage a six out of ten.

The performance and reliability are excellent. Due to the fact that we are a provider, we need systems which just run and run and run the whole day and the whole night without issue. This product does just that. We are selling services, and therefore we need a system which works 24/7.

The initial setup is very easy.

The stability is very good.

The scalability is straightforward.

There is a new version of the Nimble and 3PAR systems called Alletra and they have a lot of new features. We have to check and have to give them a read, however, at the moment, there are some new features with cloud connections. It's a feature that they haven't finished yet. There's the possibility to move the workload to the cloud and back. At the moment, they don't really need any improvements.

I've been using the solution for around 20 years. It's been two decades. I've used it for a long while at this point. 

The stability is great. It just keeps running without issue. There are no bugs or glitches. It does not crash or freeze. It is quite reliable. 

The scalability is great. It scales in every direction.

While the technical support isn't good every single time, for the most part, we are happy with it. 

They could improve their services a bit. If you have some easy problems, for example, if a hard drive fails or something like that, that's not a problem for them to deal with. However, if you have strange problems related to performance issues or something like that, sometimes it's difficult to find the right person. In most cases, we are happy with the support.

The initial setup is very easy. It's not very complex or hard to do. If a company needs to set it up, it can do so with very little difficulty.

We are certified partners. We know exactly how to set up the solution and can do so for our clients if they need assistance. 

We are an HPE partner. We also use it as customers and end-users. 

Right now, we use the HPE 3PAR 8000 systems, we use Nimble systems, and we also sell some systems like Primera.

I'd recommend the solution to other companies.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're mostly quite happy with the product.

We currently work with banks and insurance companies, who are our primary customers with regard to HPE Nimble Storage.

Our clients have been very happy with this solution and like the fact that it is very easy to install. They have also had no problems with migration.

The fact that you can manage the requirements is one the most valuable features of HPE Nimble Storage. The other is the rapid deployment time.

Our customers are also happy that they can easily manage the requirements from the very beginning.

I think the scalability of HPE Nimble Storage could be improved.

In Venezuela, we have to purchase the solution for two years and cannot obtain a secondary storage platform. So from my perspective, the scalability is not as easy as that of 3PAR StoreServ or HPE Primera.

I have used this solution for two years.

Our clients have not reported any issues, so I think that HPE Nimble Storage is very stable.

The scalability of this solution is not great in comparison to that of 3PAR StoreServ or HPE Primera.

Most of our clients used 3PAR StoreServ and HPE Primera.

The initial setup is very easy.

I think HPE Nimble Storage is less expensive than Primera and is the best solution for Venezuela. 

Our clients evaluated other options such as 3PAR StoreServ, HPE Primera, Pure Storage, and Dell EMC.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate HPE Nimble Storage at nine. It is less expensive than some of the other options and is very easy to install.
