Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway Reviews

We work with a cloud solution. The product that we use is developed as a SaaS model. In this case, we work with AWS as our cloud provider. We use a public cloud. The tool is good, but they need to help the user understand the implications of changes. When I do a configuration, I do not know what implication it will have downstream.

The benefits of using Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway include expertise, as these specialists are experts in this area. A lot of things come out of the box to us. We do not have to spend too much effort thinking about implementation or taking this into actual action. Those things give us an advantage when using Kaspersky.

The advanced spyware protection of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway has helped in defending against unwanted programs because of our deployment approach. We have implemented a lot of whitelisting of IPs. We have not faced spyware issues because there's extensive whitelisting happening between the traffic. Although it is public, we restrict the traffic with respect to whitelisting the IPs that can access this. Although the feature is there, we are not using the full potential because we have not gone wide public.

I would assess the real-time threat detection capabilities of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway as effective. There were two primary requirements when we implemented this solution. One was protection against DDoS attacks where people were trying to hit the server with multiple IPs and mass attacks. Those issues were handled effectively by Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway.

The management console is helpful because it shows the impact areas and traffic inflow and outflow clearly, indicating which IPs have been blocked due to attacks such as multiple requests coming together within a second. The management dashboard is sufficient for our requirements. As we grow, we will explore more of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway and gain more insights.

Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway has positively impacted our organization by helping us control unwanted attacks and limiting our exposure to risks.

There are some drawbacks that I would mention. To be frank, enterprises always look for cost benefits, so Kaspersky could implement some price benefits. Additionally, regarding know-how, if I am an experienced person it's fine, but when someone novice is working with it, they need information about why certain actions are required. Security is a field that is very vast, and implications are not known to everyone.

In future updates, a quick walk-through and know-how features would be beneficial, such as information text at relevant places. This will increase usability. Feature-wise, an impact analysis would be a really good addition.

We haven't used SSL traffic inspection with this product.

Regarding the stability of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway, it is good enough for an enterprise that scales or deals with SaaS platforms and cloud deployments. When something goes public, the traffic is expected to be humongous. Since we do whitelisting of IPs, the traffic is limited and it works really well for us. However, I'm not sure about situations with huge amounts of traffic.

It is a scalable solution that helps us with our needs.

Technical support is responsive. The SLAs they have are pretty stringent and they try to keep it on point. I haven't had an event where I got a delayed response.

I would rate their support as eight out of ten.

The installation of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway took around an hour.

The time required for installation depends on the complexity of our solution. It's not just about Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway, but also about where we want to enable it, including our own network.

For deployment, there are two engineers along with me who handle the infrastructure completely.

Regarding pricing, I'll be exactly on the brink, neither for it nor against it because being a small company, it's a slightly pricey solution. However, considering the advantages they bring, we are comfortable with it. Everyone strives for reducing the operational cost.

That's a very generic feedback. I would not have much information about threat intelligence metrics through Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway because I've not been monitoring it for quite some time now. I add some configuration and test the impact. My overall rating for this solution is 8 out of 10.

It's just for protecting the PCs that I use in my home internet network and also to protect the data inside. It does encrypting and password controls, so it will, like, encrypt the password file for you in the PCs. It sits in front of you instead of you dealing directly with applications for authentication, which I think is a very secure environment to load up.

I get alerts when there's some unusual traffic when I'm online. I don't remember the actual labeling of that feature, but I do get notifications.

So, I'm informed about all the attacks and possible breaches.

I like it a lot. It's very easy and has frequent updates. So far, it has given me no problems in terms of getting security compromised. I use it for my home network for like four or five devices.

And also, I'm not sure which package it is, but it has things like parental controls. You can block the kids from certain things and schedule the timing for the kids to get onto the internet, not to do it all the time and all that, scheduling and limiting the number of hours. I like that a lot.  

The password thing is very good, and the overall URL protection. Kaspersky gets updated very quickly. And, well, security-wise, you don't want to have any issues. So it's good that I don't have any issues.

In different locations, they're priced differently, but that's mainly marketing rather than the product features. I managed to get a cheaper one, so I'm fine with that. Maybe they have too many packages. It's very difficult to differentiate among their own packages. They should have guidance on how the customer would decide. Kaspersky do has some information, but to me, it's not explanatory.

Moreover, people are getting internet smart homes and all that. So total security that would cover all those would be good. We have all the connected devices right now. I'm not sure how they're gonna do it, but having a way to help me scan and expose vulnerabilities on those devices would be great. Right now, it protects the PCs, not the IP cameras that we use. And all those things in your home are connected. I don't see that. Maybe I'm not aware if they have any offering, but they probably should think about it.

So, I would like to have total coverage for the individual household that would include all of the connected devices.

I have been using it for five to six years now. I use the latest version. I'm also expanding its usage to mobile devices. So, I don't remember the exact license anymore, but I'm now expanding to most devices.

I never had any issue with stability. I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. 

I don't use it in an enterprise environment, so I don't have any issues. I don't have the need for a stress test.

So, its endurance capabilities are okay.

I used Sophos, and there's another one. I chose Kaspersky because Kaspersky is different. It was just a change. With their reputation, they probably have more coverage in terms of a higher level of protection because of their scale.

Another one is on the enterprise side, I get my clients to use a solution from Israel called DeviceTotal. They like it a lot. It's like Google for IOTs and connected devices, so you can make sure that whatever is in your asset database is being checked against status updates and which ones are prone to attacks and being compromised by attackers. It shows you what the trends of attackers are, what kind of devices they are attacking at the moment, and uses that information against your own inventory of devices that you use. So it covers video conferencing, IP cameras, IP phones, and all that stuff. Anything that's connected.

I would rate my experience with the initial setup of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway an eight out of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy to set up.

Installation is fine. It's just deciding what to install. So I didn't have any challenges while installing it. It's pretty straightforward.

I deployed it a long time ago. Now, it's probably just updates. Updates are easy in the system. They keep on updating in the background also. So most of the time, I don't see it.

It's self-maintained.

I would rate the pricing a six out of ten, with one being very cheap and ten being very expensive. I'm fine with the capabilities, but it's not cheap.  

I looked at even the basic Microsoft Security for home use. I look at that, but sometimes, you want to make sure you have protection from multiple sources. So, I  still use both, actually. But I also decided to have Kaspersky because I trust the brand a little bit more.

My recommendation:

First, others need to make sure they understand the type of security they want. There are so many different products in the market. You need to compare them to find the right answer because there are just so many of them. For me, Kaspersky just gives me the protection I need at the right price.

Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten.

I use Kaspersky for browser and email protection. I use it for general purposes, like browsing the internet securely. 

I also use it on laptops for work and to ensure safe browsing for others, even when gaming.

When it comes to threat detection, it is very strict with file downloads and uploads. It sends reports and quarantines suspicious files. The reports are useful for understanding the threats.

I find the firewall and antivirus features most valuable. These features block suspicious and malicious content, provide warnings for unknown file installations, and send notifications. 

I also receive alerts about unauthorized access attempts and get screen time reports.

For mobile access, I have the same browser profile for both my mobile and laptop. On my laptop, everything is secure, but when I use the same profile on my mobile, there's a chance of downloading potentially harmful files. The solution doesn't notify me even though the profile is enabled. It would be helpful to receive notifications on mobile devices as well.

It might be helpful to have notifications on mobile devices, especially if the same browser profile is used on both mobile and laptop. If something unsafe is accessed on mobile, it would be beneficial to receive a notification. This would be helpful for mail security as well.

I have been using it for three to four years now. 

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. The stability is very good.  I never experienced any outages. 

I use it on my personal computer. My family doesn't need it, and my tech support staff at the office also doesn't require it. I will continue using it for personal purposes.

I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten. It would be helpful if there were specific instructions for different settings in the help section.

I didn't get the chance to contact them because the issue was escalated well. It is an easy-to-use tool and a straightforward environment.

The previous solution wasn't effectively blocking harmful files and threats, even with drivers and additional measures. It seemed to only transfer wirelessly. That's why I switched to Kaspersky.

I would rate my experience with the initial setup a nine out of ten, with ten being easy. 

It's mostly easy for anyone who knows how to use a computer, as there are instructions provided, it is not that difficult. 

It's a regular setup, similar to other antivirus tools. However, Kaspersky is more effective.

It took me about half an hour, but someone with more experience could probably do it in 15 minutes.

I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with ten being very expensive and one being cheap. It's neither too cheap nor too expensive.

It could be a little cheaper. Perhaps it could be offered at a more affordable price for workflow purposes.

There are only the standard licensing fees. I paid it only once. I purchased it two years ago.

I explored other options at the HP laptop service center. They suggested another solution, but I wasn't satisfied because it seemed similar to what I had used before. Since Kaspersky felt effective, I decided to go with it.

It's very good, very impressive. So, I would give it a nine out of ten.  

I would definitely recommend it. It's excellent. However, I haven't figured out how to set up child profiles or enable protection for multiple profiles. If that feature isn't available, it would be helpful to include it.

I use Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway at my home. Since there are children at my home who use laptops, the solution provides protection.

Before COVID-19, I faced some issues. After COVID-19, I thought of having a tool like Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway, after which I faced no issues, so it's a good product.

The most valuable features of the solution are the antivirus and child protection features. As parents, we need to have some kind of protection enabled on the phones our children use.

There are no shortcomings in the product since it delivers what I require.

The customer support of the product is an area with shortcomings where improvements are required. Kaspersky's customer support should provide support and guidance to the end users of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway. I want a guideline framed for Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway consisting of your cases to help users with the initial installation process.

I have been using Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway for more than two years. I am a customer of the solution. I don't remember the version of the solution since it usually gets updated automatically. I use the product to protect your personal network.

There are no issues with the solution's stability solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

For my purpose, the product worked properly. I don't have any experience or need to expand the product's use.

With my Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway account, there are around five users of the product.

I plan to increase the usage of the products in the future.

I rate the product's initial setup phase a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is a difficult setup phase, and ten is an easy setup phase. The product's initial setup phase was straightforward.

The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.

There is a need to have some guidelines to help us with the installation part of the product. Due to insufficient guidelines provided by the product, it took a few days for me to deal with the product's installation phase.

One IT expert was required to deploy the product.

The product's installation part was carried out with the help of a third-party individual who offered some IT support.

I rate the product's price an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap, and ten is very expensive. I feel it is a reasonably priced product.

There are no additional costs apart from the licensing costs attached to the solution.

I did not consider any other options available in the market against Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway. I chose Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway since someone recommended it to me.

There is no need for any product maintenance process.

I recommend the solution to those who plan to use it.

I rate the overall tool an eight out of ten.

It supplies us with antivirus and malware protection for twelve devices.

I do not utilize their VPN service; instead, I opt for a third-party VPN. I have a different device that incorporates privacy protection, and that's about it.

They do not include the VPN as a built-in feature, but it is available for an additional cost, which is why I do not use it. I believe the absence of a procedure is the main issue.

I am using Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway for the past three years.

I would rate the scalability a nine out of 10.

The solution is currently being used by five users and we don’t have immediate plans to increase its usage. 

I haven't found a necessity for it. I'm not sure if I've ever had a need. The only occasion when I considered an upgrade was when I wanted to do it, and that's it. They exclusively offer chat support, which is worth noting.

I have previously used Norton and McAfee.

The process of upgrading oneself is uncomplicated, but I'm unsure about the upgrade process due to our inability to register the credit card, possibly due to regional restrictions or some other reason. You can download it directly from the store. 

From my perspective, I haven't encountered any malware issues since I started using it. I would say the return on investment is substantial because I use my laptop for both personal and business purposes, and any issues could have significant consequences.

We aim to enhance our stability because there is no flawless product or software. The cost of the license could be the only aspect that needs improvement, focusing solely on the price.

It is expensive.

I would recommend it to others as it's easy to use. I believe it's a better option to purchase a three-year subscription instead of a one-year subscription, as it offers more competitiveness.

We employ Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway to enhance cybersecurity measures, safeguarding our official documents and facilitating secure communication within our organization.

The utmost value lies in securing our documents and providing confidentiality.

The most valuable aspect for me is the user-friendly interface.

There is room for improvement in terms of the pricing.

I have been using it for the last five years.

It offers good stability.

It is scalable enough. We possess approximately five hundred licenses.

The technical support is managed by a knowledgeable IT department. They are responsible for providing technical assistance, and their expertise is the foundation upon which we rely.

The setup is somewhat intricate. We often rely on the IT department for tasks like command installation and troubleshooting. However, if it were more resource-efficient and non-proprietary, it would be preferable.

We are not able to handle the deployment internally. It relies on certified assistance, and the feasibility also hinges on the scale of protection needed.

The cost is relatively high, and as a licensed product, there are restrictions on the number of users permitted per license.

Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

The most valuable feature of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway is the antivirus.

I have been using Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway for a long time.

Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway is a stable solution.

The scalability of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway is very good.

We have two end users that use the solution in my company. We have plans to increase our usage.

I did not use the support from Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway.

The initial setup of Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway is complex. The full deployment took approximately two weeks.

We did the implementation of the solution in-house. We have one person who does the implementation of the solution.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate  Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway a ten out of ten.

We use this solution for network security. We do regular scans of our systems and sometimes there are certain files that are suspicious on external hard drives that we plugin and scan. This helps me by removing any adware and sometimes viruses.

The most valuable features of this solution are its ease of use and operation efficiency.

I have been using this solution for approximately two years.

Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway is stable.

We were previously using software that worked within our Cisco RV325 WAN VPN router.

The solution is easy to install and it took approximately 10 minutes.

I did the implementation myself.

There is a license required for this solution and there are a few options available, you can purchase them every one, two, or five years. 

Personal computer licenses can be expensive if you were to scale the solution extensively. However, large companies will most likely use Endpoint solutions and not this one.

I would recommend this solution.

I rate Kaspersky Security for Internet Gateway a nine out of ten.

We use the solution to analyze emails and prevent viruses.

The solution is good because it is easy to use.

The solution is expensive because our customers switched to another solution after a year, and they said it was because of the price.

Kaspersky’s stability is okay.

The solution can grow, and it does not matter how many users we need to add. We have two or three customers using the solution.

The initial setup was straightforward and took about three to four hours. We just needed to deploy it in a virtual machine.

Customers need to buy a license for the software and it’s expensive.

I rate KSMG an eight out of ten. However, instead of this solution, I suggest Symantec Messaging Gateway.
