Data transformation within Pentaho is a nice feature that they have and that I value.

As an open-source option, it offers a community version but faces challenges with native support for newer databases, reducing efficiency. Backward compatibility issues, inadequate performance with large data volumes, and debugging complexities affect its stability and user experience. The absence of data quality solutions further hinders data governance efforts.
