The main use case is usually related to security. It deals with attacks that come day-to-day such as zero-day attacks and APT attacks. Our main task is to secure the network infrastructure in the hospital where I work.

It facilitates the departments of IT and other departments to procure and secure our entire infrastructure. It helps in securing the network from various types of attacks including zero-day and APT attacks.

The main feature is related to the security of the company. It has a quick response time, threat intelligence, cybersecurity features, quick report generation, behavior analysis, dynamic detection, and quarantine features. It notifies us at the early stages when capturing attacks.

The support area needs improvement. When an issue occurs, the response time for first-level support and the time taken for meetings could be improved.

I have been working with the solution for about a year now.

The stability of the solution depends on its performance, configuration, and response time to attacks, which is very good. The stability level increases every day.

The scalability is rated around seven to eight out of ten. The overall experience is very good, and the stability level increases day-to-day.

Their support is neither very good nor very bad. It's somewhere in the middle, around five or six, on a scale from one to ten. When an issue occurs, the response time for first-level support and the meeting time could be improved.

We previously used Kaspersky. We switched because Kaspersky is more expensive than Sangfor. Both have similar technical capabilities. That said, in terms of financials, Sangfor is more affordable.

The initial setup was easy to handle and configure. They provide brochures, PDF files, and documentation, and local support teams are also available. The setup process is user-friendly.

Our side had five to six people involved, led by me, and two to three people from Sangfor's team.

We have seen a return on investment as Sangfor has provided training for the team and updated services. The advanced features from EDR to FTDR have been beneficial.

The pricing is around six on a scale of one to ten, meaning it's somewhat affordable. We acquired a perpetual license for three years with a one-time payment.

Other evaluated solutions include Cylance (a product of BlackBerry) and Kaspersky.

Evaluate the technical requirements first before considering the pricing. Ensure it meets your company's needs for attack capturing and denial of attacks. I suggest trying Sangfor for a proof of concept.

Our focus primarily revolves around managing the Hypervisor in the Hyper-Converged Infrastructure. While Sangfor grants us comprehensive control over the Hypervisor, it restricts direct access to VMs, preventing us from making edits or adding features. Instead, it takes responsibility for these actions, requiring us to coordinate sessions or meetings to address any issues. It offers a migration tool that simplifies the process significantly. When clients running on on-premises infrastructure decide to migrate, they can easily download the migration tool onto their VMs, establish network connectivity, and migrate their VMs to our cloud.

What stands out to me is the dual-end user interface they provide. The process of creating firewall rules or deploying virtual machines—whether Linux or Windows—is streamlined. Uploading images and configuring VM settings like CPU and RAM are straightforward.

While it excels in migrating VMs from on-premises and local infrastructure, it does not provide support for public cloud migrations. Attempting to migrate from public clouds like AWS encountered challenges, and Sangfor's support team clarified that they don't offer assistance for migrations from public cloud environments. It would be much more convenient if the migration tool could be installed directly on the customer's VMs, enabling a smoother migration process to the new infrastructure, with potential restrictions addressed accordingly.

I have been using since last year.

The reliability has been exceptional, with no breakdowns or disruptions. It offers a seamless experience, and I can confidently select and manage my infrastructure without any concerns about downtime.

It demonstrates scalability, and over the past year, there have been version upgrades from 6.7.0 to the current version, 6.7.9. The changes introduced in the updates offer increased flexibility, which is beneficial. At least five hundred individuals use the service.

The user has faced recurring issues with a customer's VM in a PBX call center solution. One NIC card intermittently disables itself, impacting the system. Despite multiple troubleshooting attempts, including OS changes and NIC card replacements, the problem persisted. While Sangfor's critical support eventually resolved the issue, the prolonged resolution time impacted the overall support experience. Overall, they offer a commendable support structure, involving levels one, two, and three support, with prompt escalation for urgent matters and 24/7 availability. I would rate it eight out of ten.

In contrast to major cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud, Sangfor's portal for service providers is notably user-friendly. With our previous hypervisor, OpenNebula, we faced challenges where the entire infrastructure would go down, resulting in customer complaints.

The initial setup is remarkably straightforward. Installing the operating system on each server and configuring them to form an aggregate cluster can be accomplished effortlessly.

In our role as a cloud service provider with two data centers, we've implemented Sangfor on four to five nodes in one data center, establishing a mirrored site in the second data center for disaster recovery scenarios. As a cloud engineer specializing in digital services, deploying and managing clusters with Sangfor on the cloud is notably straightforward compared to migrating from on-premises infrastructure to major public cloud providers like AWS and GCP. The installation involved configuring connectivity between servers, aggregating resources like CPU, RAM, and storage. We established a private network, granting us easy access to the servers. While I'm not a network specialist, I understand the basic workings of networking. Private subnets with assigned IP pools facilitated seamless server access within the data center. For public access to customers, we incorporated IP pools in the HCI Hypervisor, allowing us to attach a public network to VMs. This ensured customers faced no issues accessing their VMs, whether through SSH, FTP, SFTP, or other protocols.

Its "pay as you grow" model offers cost-effectiveness compared to major cloud providers. However, it may not be the best choice if its costs exceed public clouds. The licensing for our company is structured for a minimum of five years per license. Each license is associated with a node, and if I decide to add another node, I am required to purchase an additional node license.

For entrepreneurs in Europe considering starting a company, it is recommended as a service provider due to its robust competition with VMware and SandForce. While suitable for expanding infrastructure with features like APIs and load balancers, it has drawbacks such as the absence of APIs, Google Drive services, and AI/ML offerings, limiting its appeal for businesses focused on these technologies. It is better suited for middle-sized businesses, with challenges for higher-level businesses scaling in AI. It's essential to evaluate specific business needs before choosing a cloud service provider. Overall, I would rate it seven out of ten.

We use the antivirus solution. 

I like the tool's honeypot feature. Some features include having a honeypot to detect attacks in a certain area. Additionally, there is RDP protection, which means that when we remote into our server or any endpoint, we must enter a password as a second layer of security. It can also integrate with next-generation firewalls. 

I face issues while migrating from Kaspersky to Sangfor Endpoint Secure. 

I have been working with the product for one month. 

We chose Sangfor Endpoint Secure over Kaspersky because of issues with Kaspersky's website. The tool supports cloud solutions, while Kaspersky only supports on-prem. 

Sangfor Endpoint Secure takes two weeks to deploy. 

The solution helps us save 20 percent of our money. We can get more features for less money. 

The solution is cheap. It is cheaper than other products by 15-20 percent. 

I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten. I would recommend it to others. 

We started by setting up the manager to oversee and control all client devices. Our goal is to centrally manage all clients and endpoint security through the manager to keep our organization secure and up-to-date.

The most valuable feature I have found in the system is its comprehensive end-to-end protection. It includes file protection, AI detection, and behavior analysis, and integrates with the next-generation firewall of CentOS. This provides a unified and multi-layer security solution that is incredibly valuable for our organization.

I believe Sangfor Endpoint Secure could improve in terms of its user interface and management capabilities. Having a single, more user-friendly management console, like a one-window approach, would streamline the user experience and make it easier for administrators to handle security tasks more efficiently. Sangfor Endpoint Secure currently only allows one manager to control clients, and it lacks a backup system. It would be better if it supported a secondary manager for backup in case the primary one fails, ensuring uninterrupted service.

I have been using Sangfor Endpoint Secure for a year and a half.

Sangfor Endpoint Secure's stability can be affected by changes and updates. If there are market challenges or vendor updates, it can cause issues or bugs. However, the vendor usually fixes these problems quickly to maintain stability.

Sangfor Endpoint Secure is a scalable product. Additionally, it offers a TCO benefit of over 60%. We have approximately 200 clients of the product.

Before implementing Sangfor Endpoint Secure, my company was using Trend Micro for EDR. However, we made the switch to Sangfor because it offers more advanced features, scalability, and optimization that better meet our needs.

The initial setup is fairly easy. The deployment took between 10 to 20 minutes.

We consider other products like Cisco, SonicWall, and Citrix. After a thorough evaluation and successful demos that matched our needs, we found that Sangfor Endpoint Secure was the most suitable choice. It fulfilled our company's requirements, so we decided to partner with Sangfor.

My advice to new users would be to consider the many benefits of Sangfor Endpoint Secure. It offers AI-driven features, optimization, multiple options, and a user-friendly single-window manager. One of the key advantages is its cost-effectiveness. So, if you are looking for a reliable and cost-efficient endpoint security solution, Sangfor is a product worth considering. Overall, I would rate Sangfor Endpoint Secure a nine out of ten because it provides robust security, but it is important to keep in mind that no security solution is perfect or offers 100% protection.

Sangfor Endpoint Secure is easy to handle with its user-friendly interface. The four engines it utilizes for endpoint detection provide fewer false positives compared to other solutions. It is used for protection against unique active virus files and hack tools and is noted for its fast detection compared to other endpoints.

I sleep well at night, which indicates that colleagues experience less trouble.

The real-time monitoring feature of Sangfor Endpoint Secure is truly real-time, with no delay compared to other solutions. The AI engine is also noted for not producing false positives.

The interface has too many buttons, making it cluttered. It would be better if it were a simplified version with fewer buttons and a more consolidated layout.

I have been working with Sangfor Endpoint Secure for almost one year.

If there are Internet connectivity issues, the updating time can be delayed. It usually takes one to two minutes, but with an unstable connection, it can take four to five minutes.

I would scale it nine out of ten. I only deduct one point because of the UI issue.

I have tried Kaspersky, ESET, and Trellix. All of these solutions have a bit of a delay in detection.

The initial setup is straightforward, typically completed in four to five clicks within three to four minutes.

The solution is very cheap and economical for small, medium, and large businesses.

At first, people might not understand the interface, which is why it should be simplified. However, once they understand it and see its functionality firsthand, everyone would recommend Sangfor.

The dashboard in the solution provides a view of our business, and it helps my company. The tool helps the user know if the business is functioning at an optimal state. The solution's dashboard shows how all the resources in a business get used properly. The dashboard provides information to users in terms of whether the memory utilization is nominal or not before proceeding to other areas, including the hardware, RAM, and storage. The solution provides options to users to attach areas, like NFS CIFS, and add different types of storage systems. The tool also has a backup schedule inside of it, so there is no need to have any other backup solutions. The tool comes with its own data protection or data backup solution for each of the VMs.

The migration part of the solution is its most valuable feature. I have migrated many VMs with the help of the solution, and I have seen that it just takes a minute of downtime to deal with the migration of the VMs.

An awful thing that happens in Sangfor Endpoint Secure is when I click on its different options every time. When I go to the product's main page and click on an option completely, another window pops out, which is annoying. Every navigation option in the tool has its own window that doesn't open within itself. Every time I click on any button for navigation purposes, it opens another tab. The aforementioned aspect of the tool is an area of concern where improvements are required.

In the future, adding reporting functionalities to the tool would be a good idea. Currently, the tool lacks reporting functionalities.

I have been using Sangfor Endpoint Secure for a year and a half. I don't remember the version of the solution. I am a customer of the product.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Previously, in my company, we were using Dell VxRail, after which we got involved in the PoC phase for a product from Nutanix. Finally, I got to know about a solution named SEPP before learning about Sangfor. I was involved in the PoC phase of Sangfor, my company, as it offers great reporting even in infrastructure with VXLAN and built-in features, like Internet Access Management (IAM) and Internet Access Gateway (IAG). Sangfor Endpoint Secure is a pretty complex solution, as each and every feature needs to be installed in it.

The product's initial setup phase was straightforward.

The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.

I have seen your return on investment from the use of Sangfor Endpoint Secure in my company.

Price-wise, Sangfor Endpoint Secure can be considered a competitively priced product in the market as it offers quite low prices compared to other solutions.

Nutanix was one of the solutions that I considered against Sangfor Endpoint Secure in my company's evaluation phase. My company chose Sangfor Endpoint Secure over Nutanix because of its different features, especially in areas like dashboards.

I would ask those planning to buy Sangfor to invest in Sangfor's hardware and software products and abstain from relying on any other hardware products.

I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.

We are using Sangfor Endpoint Secure to manage various servers in our agriculture department in our company in Pakistan. It effectively handles regular tasks such as managing applications, websites, and other IT infrastructure components.

The user-friendliness of Sangfor Endpoint Secure is particularly impressive. Even with basic technical knowledge, users can easily navigate the system, make changes, and implement updates. 

Compared to other virtualization solutions, I find Sangfor Endpoint Secure, especially its Hyper-V capabilities, to be exceptionally useful.

There are a few areas for improvement. We have encountered licensing issues on occasion, and sometimes updates don't apply properly. 

Additionally, restarting virtual machines can sometimes cause issues.

I have been using this solution for one year. 

It is stable. Currently, we haven't experienced any stability issues.

I would rate the scalability of Sangfor Endpoint Secure an eight out of ten. There is some room for improvement. 

We contacted the support team for the licensing issues. We faced problems with the license not updating properly. 

We currently use the trial version, but we've already purchased the license. It's not working at the moment due to a technical issue.

My experience with the customer service and support team was good. However, there is still area of improvement in support.

We've been using it for the last nine to eleven months. And we found it more useful than Hyper-V as it is efficient, user-friendly, and cheap as well.

Professional organizations require a secure network, and we use Sangfor Endpoint Secure for blocking some websites.

Sangfor Endpoint Secure has some good policy certificates. The solution has good software and policies.

Sometimes, the VPN is not secure and doesn't work properly in Sangfor Endpoint Secure.

80% of the solution works well, but 20% is not satisfactory for us. One client user used the VPN software on mobile, and it was not working well. It could not properly block apps like YouTube and Facebook.

Approximately 600 users use Sangfor Endpoint Secure.
