What is our primary use case?
I've worked on process insights where we plug and play with the SAP landscape of the client. We use the artificial intelligence capabilities of Signavio to gain insights into different KPIs for various business processes, end-to-end processes, and lines of business.
These KPIs are predefined based on the industry domain, whether it's related to oil and natural gas, healthcare, pharma, manufacturing, etc. So, based on their industry, there are predefined KPIs in the process insights with industry benchmarks.
I've been working on process intelligence for transformation projects. Our client is migrating from the SAP system to SAP HANA. In such a scenario, they want to streamline their processes in S/4HANA by analyzing and optimizing the processes from their existing ECC system using Signavio.
What is most valuable?
Process Intelligence is essentially process mining and analysis building. We delve deep into the process using Process Insights. Signavio provides predefined KPIs based on the data we input. These KPIs are automatically calculated and displayed in the system. In process intelligence, we conduct in-depth analysis by mining exhaustive data spanning one or two years.
One of the most valuable things about process intelligence is that it allows you to mine data over a long period of time, such as one or two years. This gives us a deep understanding of how your processes actually work.
We identify bottlenecks in each activity within the process. This involves defining the activities, mapping the happy path, and delineating undesired activities, examining how they flow in the process. The goal is to optimize or standardize the process using Process Intelligence. We establish KPIs to assess the process, and based on that, we take actions to streamline the process.
What needs improvement?
When it comes to Signavio, as I've worked on Celonis, I've observed two things in Celonis and Signavio. In Celonis, using the process mining tool, we can implement automation skills. So we can take actions to improve the process as well. That is one thing.
And one more thing is you can do dashboarding using Celonis, which is not possible in Signavio. So, there's not as much access to features in Signavio as we have with Celonis. We may not have any significant features there.
So, these two features could be added: dashboarding and automation skills.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with this solution for one year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is stable. Perfectly stable. It is an effective product, so it is stable and scalable right now.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable product but it is a little difficult.
Our customers are only enterprises. It is a large-scale business.
How are customer service and support?
The customer service and support are absolutely good. However, it might be delayed sometimes.
How was the initial setup?
It is easy to install this solution. Overall, it took around one to two days to deploy.
What about the implementation team?
I'm the only person working on it. Maintenance depends on the client and the system. For example, for the client in Signavio, it would be easy to maintain, but for other systems, it can be a bit more difficult.
In those cases, we need the expertise of other system administrators to deploy or maintain the solution.
It's easy to maintain in Signavio. Not like Celonis, where we need data engineers to do that completely. In Signavio, it is not that much needed.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is expensive.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I'm working on process mining with Signavio. So earlier, I have experience with Celonis as well.
What other advice do I have?
It is scalable, and it is easy to maintain. Even when compared with others, we have the ultimate feature of the process model engine in Signavio. So, along with process intelligence and process mining, they offer process modeling as well. They are also offering process governance where we can automate workflow editors and other automation.
When it comes to process insights, process intelligence, and process modeling, Signavio is the right product to provide all these solutions under one roof.
Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. There are areas of improvement in the solution. There are improvements to be made. Although, they have solutions for those things. For example, Signavio needs to improve its onboarding capability. But when I reached out to Signavio, they suggested we use Fiori apps for dashboarding. So that is also the right solution for them because Signavio is a product of SAP, and Fiori is a product of SAP. This is just the theory only. So then, there is no need for dashboarding capabilities to be built in Signavio.
