SAP Technical Lead at a tech services company with 501-1,000 employees3.5I've used this good product for two years to secure mobile enterprise data, finding setup easy with no deployment or stability issues. Its main area for improvement is compatibility across platforms and databases.
Tech Lead at a tech services company with 10,001+ employees4.0No summary available
Associate Director - IS Project Management Office at a healthcare company with 501-1,000 employees2.5Afaria provided standard MDM and enabled enterprise app deployment, but I found it lacked features compared to competitors like MobileIron. Setup was lengthy, and customer support was only okay. I'd advise exploring other vendors thoroughly.
System & Network Administrator at a tech services company with 501-1,000 employees4.0I've used this MDM for five years. While the multi-component setup is complex and initial manuals aren't beginner-friendly, it meets my needs for app distribution and device management well.
Engineer Enterprise Mobility at a tech consulting company with 501-1,000 employees4.0We find Afaria provides essential email access control, crucial for security and workflow. However, Android SCEP deployment has flaws, and it requires external solutions for full effectiveness. It is stable and scalable.
Mobility Lead at a retailer with 1,001-5,000 employees3.0I found Afaria integrates well with SAP products and offers strong security, but it's slower than competitors in adapting to market changes. It also lacks advanced app management features and v7.0 deployment dropped Oracle DB support.
Sr software Engineer at a tech services company with 1,001-5,000 employees4.0I find this MDM protects corporate data well with strong policies. However, the initial setup was complex, it's expensive, and customer service is poor. Despite that, it's stable and easy to use post-installation.
Solution Engineer at a marketing services firm with 51-200 employees4.0I found the solution robust, stable, and scalable with straightforward setup. It greatly improved device and security policy deployment for 5000+ devices. I only wish for better mobile platform feature parity.
SAP Basis Team Lead at a manufacturing company with 10,001+ employees2.5I found this supports all mobile platforms, simplifying data access. But, it's unstable, complex to set up, and costly with poor support and security concerns.

It has enabled us to package and deploy enterprise mobile apps. It doesn't have as many features as MobileIron or AirWatch.

Instead of publishing a web page with the link to the app, now we publish the apps via Afaria and we know who installed the app.

It helps with for device provisioning and enforcing enterprise level security for BYOD devices. The admin UI should be simplified to be able to add features/policies with a wizard like workflow.

It's made pulling and pushing data to the server easier. It needs to be more user friendly, and data security is a big concern right now.
