What is our primary use case?
We provide services to our clients, and one of the services that we offer is Syniti Data Replication (formerly known as DBMoto). This product can be used for migrating a database to the cloud. It can also be used for reporting and migrating from heterogeneous or different database platforms.
We have recently implemented this solution for one of our clients. We used it for migrating an on-premises database to a cloud database. Our source database was on-premises, and our target was on the cloud.
What is most valuable?
Syniti Data Replication is very easy to use. It is user-friendly and easy to set up. You can provide or create connections with just a simple click. It is minimally intrusive.
What needs improvement?
There should be an option to easily create tables from its graphical user interface. Its price should also be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
We started to use this product recently.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is scalable. Our client has a group of five users. They use this solution when they are monitoring or doing some configurations inside the Syniti data.
How are customer service and technical support?
We are in the Philippines, and the support that we are getting is from France or Italy. We are in a different time zone, and sometimes, it can take five hours or more than five hours to get a response from them, but overall, their support is good. Most of our problems were solved.
How was the initial setup?
It is very easy to install. In 15 to 30 minutes, we're done with the installation as long as there is nothing wrong with the administrative rights given by the client when we are implementing this product.
What about the implementation team?
We have two people for its implementation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I don't have any visibility on the price because I am on the technical side, but based on what our client said, it is more expensive than other products. Its licensing is on a yearly basis.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend this solution. It is very effective and easy to deploy.
I would rate Syniti Data Replication an eight out of ten.
