What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature I have found in the latest version of Temenos Infinity is its seamless connectivity with microservices. This feature eliminates the need for manual calls to retrieve account information and balances, as it now efficiently and directly accesses this data through proper server configuration, enhancing the overall banking experience.
What needs improvement?
The two areas for improvement in Temenos Infinity are the time it takes to build web and mobile applications, which currently takes longer than desired, and the need for better third-party integration, particularly with major card providers like Visa and Mastercard. More efficient application development and expanded connectivity with widely used card services would enhance the platform's functionality.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Temenos Infinity has stability issues, with several bugs identified in various areas. Users, such as myself, have had to implement custom fixes. Additionally, there are challenges when it comes to managing the user interface for applications in different languages, and the speed and smoothness of navigation in native applications outperform Temenos Infinity, which can be improved for a better user experience.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Temenos Infinity offers excellent scalability due to its robust integration with the core banking systems. The platform handles essential banking functions such as checking accounts and transactions efficiently through microservices and core connectivity. Banks typically have core systems managed by Temenos, which ensures a seamless connection and data mapping. This ease of integration and the platform's understanding of core banking systems make it a highly scalable and reliable choice for mobile banking applications, contributing to its popularity in the market. Temenos has limited usage at the moment, with a presence mainly in the UAE, particularly with the Abu Dhabi Federal Bank. In Pakistan, there are few live applications. However, it is anticipated that more applications will be adopted in the market in the next couple of years. At my company, apart from myself, there are several other people with experience in Temenos Infinity. I manage a team of nearly 12 to 14 individuals, and they also have experience working with it.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support for Temenos Infinity varies in different areas. When it comes to front-end application support, it is generally excellent, with a good understanding of issues due to the application's simplicity. However, the major challenge is with microservices support, as there is a shortage of experts who understand intricate details like Instrand connectivity, Vision Core, and microservices data streaming. This can lead to longer resolution times, sometimes taking three to four weeks for microservices issues. In contrast, support for the Infinity application is more efficient and usually resolved within a couple of weeks. Support for infrastructure is relatively new and may require more time for improvements.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup to install Temenos Infinity for the first time was somewhat challenging because it typically involves a team's effort. They rely on OpenShift and other technologies for installation, and the team using Infinity isn't usually involved in the installation process, leading to a gap between the two teams.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Temenos Infinity is relatively expensive, but it offers great value for the cost. Its flexibility and capability to connect with various third-party channels, including microservices, core systems, card services, and databases, make it a worthwhile investment for organizations looking to enhance their digital banking capabilities.
What other advice do I have?
Our organization decided to use Temenos Infinity because we had a strong foundation in the core banking system, Transact. Temenos Infinity is built on top of Transact, and this gave us a competitive edge. We could assure our customers that we not only understand their core system but also know how to seamlessly implement Infinity, taking into account the specific challenges and limitations associated with their core infrastructure. This familiarity with the core system was a compelling reason for our organization to choose Temenos Infinity. My advice to new users would be to seriously consider adopting Temenos Infinity. This product is rapidly growing and making a significant impact in various markets, including the UK and Australia. With a strong focus on ISO 20022, the product streamlines banking operations and can save substantial effort and costs. Additionally, the platform offers secure data transitions, and its integration with AT&T further enhances its capabilities. It is definitely worth exploring and can bring many benefits to your organization. Overall, I would rate the product as a seven out of ten.
