For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Trellix DLP since September.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The tool is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution scales well vertically and horizontally.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

If you opt for the SaaS-based solution, deployment is straightforward. However, choosing the on-premise solution can be more challenging because you have to manage your own SQL database, and sometimes the data can get corrupted. Additionally, data communication can be complex, among other potential issues.

The agent can be deployed in a single day. However, if you have a very large environment, it takes about a week to identify the requirements and the data that needs protection. To improve the DLP, you will need to define multiple policies and keywords.

What was our ROI?

Trellix DLP offers significant cost savings by safeguarding your data and ensuring it remains secure.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is not so complex.

What other advice do I have?

The coverage of Linux OS is not extensive but performs very well on Windows. Similarly, the approach on macOS is also limited.

One person is enough for the solution's maintenance.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

A trusted solution that does well at preventing the installation of risky external software along with preventing removable device plugins and much more
Pros and Cons
  • "It prevents enterprises from installing external software and devices and can block specific network pathways."
  • "The whole UI of the server console installed on the standalone computers is hefty."

How has it helped my organization?

It made our systems much more secure and it's always a relief knowing that Trellix has our back.

What is most valuable?

Trellix DLP Endpoint has been a trusted solution for data loss prevention since the start of cybersecurity. It prevents enterprises from installing external software and devices and can block specific network pathways.

What needs improvement?

The whole UI of the server console installed on the standalone computers is hefty. We use different SQL servers to make the server work. After the entire server installation, the agents' deployment is still significant work. Slightly simplifying all our consoles would be beneficial for everyone.

Our clients want a function to see what functions are blocked by the DLP server on their workstations. Also, the server requires a standalone PC on the premises. If Trellix tries to provide its cloud servers on a subscription basis, that would be very helpful and feasible for more enterprises. Small enterprises also need DLP for their work.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Trellix DLP Endpoint for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable and has a very solid groundwork for DLP. I rate its stability a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the solution's scalability a seven out of ten.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is complex. The external installation of SQL servers is complicated. The. EPO servers are straightforward to install for users. Download the zip file, extract it, and set up the whole. You then have to create an SQL or some external links. Sometimes, the customer gets concerned about why they need to use external links to download and DLP servers.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing depends on the number of users in a company. I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten, where one is high and ten is low.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend Trellix DLP Endpoint for all companies, but the on-premises installation of the server can be challenging. The technicality of installing servers on-premises is complex. Installing the solution externally is a concern for the customer's security. Nonetheless, I have installed the server for businesses of all sizes, from 100 to 1,500 employees. It is a very flexible system. However, if we are trying to provide a cloud-based solution, Trellix DLP Endpoint can also be installed on-premises for businesses with 10 to 50 employees.

Overall, I rate it an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises
