I use the solution for functional and automation testing. 

The solution can be deployed in DevOps and ERP environments like Oracle Fusion. It accelerates testing with the libraries. The product incorporates libraries and is more sensitive to the scans. 

The tool incorporates AI in maintaining and capturing libraries, making script maintenance easier for automated testing cases.

Tricentis Tosca is expensive. It should improve the testing of legacy systems and interfaces. 

The tool offers local support in Mexico with the same language and time zone. I haven't contacted support yet. 

The main difference between Panaya Test Dynamix and Tricentis Tosca lies is the automation testing approach. Tricentis Tosca incorporates scanning and libraries in a model tailored to specific business areas. These capabilities make script and library maintenance more efficient and reduce the time required for upkeep, in contrast to Panaya Test Dynamix's approach.

Tricentis Tosca's deployment is easy and can be completed in two to three days. Three to five people are needed to complete it. It usually takes two people to integrate the system. The exact number depends on what kind of testing is being done. For example, regression testing might need three to five people, especially for handling purchase orders in sales cycles.

I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.

The product's database capacity should be increased. The product has certain shortcomings in cloud storage. From an improvement perspective, cloud storage must offer more features.

I have been using Tricentis Tosca for a year. I am a user of the solution.

The product is not very stable when used with cloud storage. It is very hard to load the screen, making it difficult to use the tool in cloud storage.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Speaking about the feature of the product that has the largest impact on our company's testing process, I would say that I use Selenium to take care of the coding part. In Tricentis Tosca, we can't use Git code, considering the user-based experience and UI for the testing process.

Speaking about the codeless test creation feature in Tricentis Tosca, I would say that in some of the software where the quality assurance team does the verification, Selenium is used by quality analysts. In Selenium, we used to write the codes to check basic stuff. In Tricentis Tosca, we don't have to write any scripts.

Integrating the product into my company's CI/CD pipeline affected the release cycles in a good way.

For beginners, the product is good, especially for those who are interested in the quality side of software testing.

Considering the emerging trends in the automation space, I would say that Tricentis Tosca is a good software.

I rate the tool a seven and a half out of ten.

Tosca offers end-to-end automation capabilities. It has strong features for managing test data, code, and locators. Additionally, it includes a record and playback feature for ease of use. One notable feature is its ability to handle negative XPath healing processes. If one XPath fails, Tosca can utilize backup XPaths to ensure test cases do not fail due to locator issues, thereby focusing on identifying application-side issues, which is the ultimate goal.

Tosca offers encryption features for securing sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, credentials, and other data managed within the tool. This information is encrypted and can be decrypted within the Tosca environment.

The solution is expensive compared to other tools in the market.

I have been using Tricentis Tosca as a customer for 6-8 months. We implemented the solution according to the business requirements.

The product is stable.

I rate the solution’s stability an eight out of ten.

The solution is scalable. It is a strong solution for executing test cases concurrently across multiple browsers and devices. It efficiently handles test case execution in parallel, making it faster for hundreds of test cases. It may require a powerful machine with ample processing power and RAM to maintain optimal speed and performance for executing millions of test cases.

Five users are using this solution. We have concurrent licenses.

I rate the solution’s scalability an eight out of ten.

Technical support is good. They have their own portal for submitting requests and responding within 24 hours to resolving their queries or problems.

The initial setup is easy, but for a new person, it can be complex. It may take nanoseconds if you have a faster solution, depending on the memory of the solution. In AWS build, you can quickly get your branch, pull it, and deploy it anytime, anywhere. There are no blockers. If your solution is heavy or gigabytes, it may take minutes according to the Internet speed and other privileges.

I rate the initial setup as seven-point five out of ten, where one is complex, and ten is easy.

The product has a costly license. It costs around $700-900/ year.

Cost is a significant factor. Tosca has strong features that may not be suitable for every product or project. Tosca should provide a free community learning platform for individuals to explore Tosca before making a purchasing decision. Tosca is primarily focused on SAP environments. SAP is a player in the IT landscape. Tosca's scope extends beyond just SAP to address various testing needs across different domains within IT.

Tosca has strong integration with SAP systems. Tosca is a comprehensive test automation tool that caters to various domains, including medical, fintech, e-commerce, B2B, B2C, communication applications, and other role-based applications. Tosca can also be applied to automate testing across a wide range of IT industry sectors. It's a well-known tool in the market for its versatility and effectiveness in test automation beyond the SAP ecosystem.

We are working with the MBT approach. Tosca is compatible with SDET practices, and its main purpose is achieved through model-based test automation.

Tricentis Tosca offers built-in libraries for integration purposes, allowing users to implement various integrations seamlessly. Test cases can be executed by configuring AWS, Azure, or DFS integrations. These integrations are built-in and provide capabilities that enhance convenience and flexibility.

Tosca is a robust and competent solution, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to capture locators, record test cases, and execute actions across various UI platforms. It is compatible with the latest technologies like TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, and other user interface platforms. I highly recommend this solution for those who are considering purchasing it

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

As a codeless automation tool, the product offers a user-friendly experience without requiring extensive coding knowledge. Users can easily handle various applications, including web applications, SAP applications, Windows applications, and even Salesforce applications, without manual coding. This ease of implementation and time-saving feature distinguishes it from other products. 

The tool provides a smooth transition from Selenium and other tools, allowing users to develop frameworks for different functional workflows. The ease of downloading and activating the tool, emphasizing productivity and time-saving features, makes it a valuable choice. We can handle multiple execution and test cases. 

The product needs to improve object identification. The identify with properties and anchor methods work perfectly, while the by-index and image methods may face challenges.

We used Selenium before Tricentis Tosca. We chose the product because of its time-saving and ease-of-use features. It also helps us to be more productive.

I rate Tricentis Tosca an eight out of ten. 

We have used the product for web application automation and SAP functional automation, as well as for Microsoft Dynamics 365 process automation.

There is a specific feature in Tricentis Tosca called Vision AI. What it does is basically it'll capture the entire screen, and you can automate anything that can be viewed on our screen. For example, if you are trying to access an application like Teams, so if you want to select any user and call him, you can do that. Anything that is on a screen, you can automate using that Vision AI tool.

The interface is pretty simple, and it's user-friendly, so people with minimal knowledge also can start using the Tosca tool. The widgets and the invoicing are also user-friendly.

It's stable and reliable.

The solution can scale.

Support is helpful. 

Pricing is affordable. 

In Tosca, I see that there are no user guides. So basically, if you want to automate something, you have to really do some research and then start doing it. Having documentation would be helpful, and that is something that needs to be provided, maybe as a jump start to getting going with the product.

There are certain engines that are available that will identify the objects. Yet, there are some engines that are not available, so we need to customize them.

The setup can take a while as the licensing is confusing. 

The response time for support can be slow. 

I've been using the solution for around two or three years. 

The stability is excellent. I would rate it nine out of ten. 

We have a team of 250 people on the solution right now. We have five active licenses on five servers. We have mostly testers on the product. 

It is a scalable solution and a powerful tool. I'd rate scalability eight out of ten. 

We likely will increase usage in the future. 

There is a lack of a knowledge base, and the time it takes for them to respond is a bit slow. While there is a delay in response, their help is quite good.

I've also used Micro Focus and Selenium.

I'd rate the initial setup around six out of ten in terms of ease of deployment. The initial setup was difficult. However, we took support help from the Tosca team, and then we tried to resolve the issues. 

The only issue really is the licensing issue. You need to activate the license and for activating the license, and there is no specific straightforward way to do it. You need to connect to the Tricentis support team, and then you need to get an activation link, followed by their code and all that. It's a challenge.

For deployment, if you have the activation link, it'll be done immediately, instantly, maybe in hours. Otherwise, if you do not have the activation link, then it might take days since you need to connect with support.

Most clients I come across prefer open-source solutions and may move towards Selenium to keep the tool cost down. However, if we are using commercial tools like this one, it will take two to three years to realize an ROI.

The pricing is good. I'd rate it eight out of ten in terms of affordability.

I would recommend the solution since the tool is user-friendly and easy to use. It comes with a lot of features, and it's a very powerful tool. I would definitely recommend it compared to other tools.

We primarily use the solution for automation testing. 

The item that is different from all the other tools is that it's module based. This is the thing that I like about Tosca. It means there is no hassle in coding. 

Every tool has a disadvantage. There are some technologies that are not scanned, for example. 

The product needs more technology coverage when scanning modules as not all the modules can be scanned and we have to check for workarounds. We have to overcome the fact that not every technology can be scanned using the module scanner.

It can be quite expensive. 

The product does not have an open-source option. 

I've used the solution for more than five years. 

The stability is okay. I'd rate it seven out of ten in terms of reliability. Sometimes I do face issues around stability, however, most of the time, it is fine. 

The scalability is pretty good. I would rate it seven out of ten in terms of how easy it would be to expand. 

We have more than eight people using this solution in our organization. It could be a bit more. We do have a client on it as well, and we are working with them.

Technical support is extremely good. They are helpful and responsive, and we've been more than satisfied with the level of support they provide. They are the best.

I did use another solution and used a combination of Tosca and UFT. That was five years ago, and the Tosca technology was a bit different. We were not able to scan the system attributes, for example, using Tosca back then. I introduced another automation tool to open it and run the script and then get back to the original script. It was like a work-around and, at the time, it was successful.

The process for implementation is pretty normal and pretty straightforward. I would rate it eight out of ten overall in terms of ease of deployment. I'm just upgrading it, and it is not hard.

How long it takes to deploy depends on the project scale. For the big project, I it would take us two days. The time it takes depends on the VDIs, the number of VDIs, and how they will be scheduled for deployment.

We had a consultant help deploy the solution for us. 

The cost is high for this solution. It is one of the highest in the market. That said, most big companies go for licensed automation applications in general due to security. It's not an open-source product. Big companies do prefer the licensed tool over free options.

We're using the latest version of the solution. 

I'd recommend the solution to others. It's user-friendly, easy to learn, and doesn't require any coding. New users, however, must take some lessons before starting with it. Most of the time, they might have colleagues to transfer knowledge and that makes things simpler. Still, it's really easy.

I would rate the solution eight out of ten.

We use Tricentis Tosca for test automation.

The most valuable feature of Tricentis Tosca is the Tosca Commander. Functionality is another thing I find most valuable in the solution.

What needs to be improved in Tricentis Tosca is its centralized repository mechanism because it's not as flexible. The repository in the solution where you store the data and the script for test automation is quite an old-fashioned mechanism that could be improved.

An additional feature I'd like to see in the next release of Tricentis Tosca is a distributed repository mechanism because it's required in the current installation for my company.

We have a contract with Tricentis Tosca, and we've been using the solution for six years now. We're using the latest version, which is version 14 because there was this bug called the Log4j.

Tricentis Tosca is a pretty stable solution.

In terms of scalability, that's a challenge in Tricentis Tosca. Scaling the solution is quite difficult because it uses only Windows environments, so it's not a good solution for scaling up. Right now, we rely on Windows, but we are moving to the cloud, so scaling Tricentis Tosca would be difficult for us.

The technical support for Tricentis Tosca isn't quick, but it's useful.

The initial setup for Tricentis Tosca was pretty straightforward.

Initially, for the deployment of Tricentis Tosca, we used a consultancy company, but now we do its deployment in-house.

In terms of the licensing costs for Tricentis Tosca, we are spending more or less $70,000 per year. We have a very complex mechanism because there are some business users and some BI users, so the licensing structure is not simple, but support is included.

My company is using Tricentis Tosca and is an end-user of the solution.

With the Tricentis Tosca installation that my company has, one person is enough for maintenance.

My advice to others looking into implementing Tricentis Tosca is to limit it. I would use it only for specific test automation requirements, and I wouldn't use it for other purposes because it's a very expensive solution.
