Nakivo is my favorite backup software. Below are the main benefits of Nakivo compared to Veeam
1. Low cost.
2. Backup storage with global deduplication (this is the main requirement of a backup solution. For Veeam, you need to pay for additional deduplication storage).
3. NAS appliance plugin (the backup solution can be fit on one NAS box storage. No need for any backup server).
4. The backup server resource requirement is too small.
5. No Windows license needed. Nakivo can be deployed via a provided Linux appliance/Linux-native installation.

They have the same functionality except that Nakivo allows the backups to be immutable, thus, providing protection against malware (backups cannot be moved, deleted or changed) It has 1/3 of the price but sometimes there is a direct deal.
For me, Nakivo has all Veeam features and also supports Oracle RMAN backup.
Nakivo has a very flexible deployment compared with Veeam (it supports the deployment using Windows and SQL only). It can be installed on NAS, VA, and many more. Most of the things have a reasonable price.

If you don't need advanced storage integration there is no difference.
