Is IBM InfoSphere DataStage more difficult to use compared to other tools in the field?
Did you have any complications setting up the product and using it in your organization? How do you think it compares to other tools for data integration in terms of ease of use?
I think the tool may cause some difficulties if you have not used other data integration solutions before. I have worked at companies that used different tools for data integration, and they work along similar lines, IBM is not an exception. My current company started using this solution fairly recently and we had some complications with the initial setup - it just took a little longer than we were expecting. However, from there, things have gone smoothly and the interface is easy to use, so it may be even better for beginners than some of its competitors. I would say it depends on the preparation of your team. If you do some research on how the tool works, and the company offers good resources and tutorials, you should be good to go.
I believe IBM InfoSphere DataStage is not difficult to use and ranks equally with the other top tools for data integration. My company had an easy time setting up the product. The deployment of the product may take longer than the initial setup, depending on factors like the databases you use it with, the load of your information, and the different platforms and applications you connect it with. However, I have used other tools for the same purpose, and all are installed and used similarly. This one is not more difficult to use than its competitors and the fact that it is compatible with other IBM solutions is a big plus for me.
