I don't think it's easier to cheat in eLearning than in person, but of course it's possible. There is software that doesn’t allow you to change the browser tab during a test but then someone may be sitting next to them and checking the answers on their phone - it all depends on how much a learner wants to just pass. However, I don't see this as a reason why eLearning should be deemed inefficient, just because someone decided to slack off. Instead, it's an amazing opportunity for everyone to gain new skills without attending in person or without having to sacrifice too much time or resources because it adapts to that too. So don't let that stop you from doing it for your students or whoever you decide to.
Let's be honest, if someone is creative enough, they can always cheat. It doesn't matter if you have three teachers in the classroom with them or have different apps that follow the activity online, people will always find a way to cheat the system if they can. This way of teaching and learning is indeed efficient, though, despite the fact that it's possible to cheat. I think we should focus on the fact that we can provide people who want to learn with a very modern and innovative way to do it, and eLearning is truly that, and the cheaters, well, you can never avoid those in any situation. But I think that if someone truly wants to learn, they won’t cheat.
