What advice do you have for others considering Celonis?

It will take some time to become comfortable with process mining using Celonis because completing the training alone does not provide real-time usage experience. There are many error-handling scenarios that take more time when starting work on real-time projects. I would say it is neither very difficult nor very easy. First, you need to determine which process you need to mine. Otherwise, you will lose your money and not receive a return on investment. If your company knows which process to mine first, you will get your investment back as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will take time to see a return on investment. I am a customer of Celonis. Celonis is faster compared to any BI tool. Customization is possible with Celonis. Since my process has already been customized, I have used Celonis extensively for customization according to our usage requirements. I have given this review a rating of nine.

I tried four tools including CPM (Celonis Process Management), as Celonis has their own BPM tool. I recently procured CPM. For the analysis part, I would rate Celonis four out of five because it generates a detailed Excel report when I enter the activity-wise cost, time, and value. It provides a complete overview of the per event cost and the total cost, allowing me to simulate processes. When I streamline a process, I work on multiple scenarios such as reducing time and cost while modeling multiple charts. It shows how much time I've reduced and how much value I've saved. We didn't make a deal with them due to the cybersecurity issues. For the India market, I would not recommend Celonis, but for markets outside India, I would recommend it. Overall, I am satisfied with Celonis; it's just unfortunately not compatible with the policies of India. I would rate Celonis eight out of ten.

My overall rating for Celonis is six to seven out of ten, considering the areas of improvement, complexity, and high pricing. However, I would definitely recommend Celonis to others since it is the market leader in process mining.

Celonis is a good idea to change the way processes are considered in a company. It may not be perfect yet, however, it's the best way if the organization wants to approach processes with a data-driven approach.

The strategic customers reap the benefits by utilizing the transformational aspect of Celonis, for instance, including strategic KPIs such as automation capability and checking the increase or decrease in automation rate of the core system. On the other hand, operational customers might check KPIs related to incident rates, bottlenecks, and throughput time so that immediate decisions can be made using Celonis. The aforementioned KPIs help the operational customers strategically budget the digital transformation projects. Celonis helps customers improve their business model through the automation approach, which might have been previously a preventive approach. Celonis presently follows a pro-active approach that helps in anticipating what bugs might be found. The Execution Management System (EMS) of Celonis has helped in identifying and addressing inefficiencies across processes. The aforementioned features provide a centralized view. I would recommend others to use process mining solutions, but I would leave them to their own decision and expertise to choose the most suitable one for their organization, Celonis should be among the top choices. The biggest trend with Celonis is that it's already equipped with object-oriented process mining that integrates multiple sources. I believe OCPM is one of the market trends that only Celonis has successfully implemented. Celonis allows the integration of automation features with process mining through the acquisitions of firms like Integromat and Make. Communication and task mining are other industry trends that Celonis is able to leverage. I would rate Celonis as eight out of ten overall.

I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten. We previously had a similar product called UiPath, which could handle most of the processes we aimed to optimize. However, Celonis provided additional features that UiPath lacked. Additionally, other features are available, such as those utilizing artificial intelligence for various operations and system integration and management.

It works very well if you have money. It is working very well on a single version of Celonis, meaning if you have one ERP globally, all are already implemented. If you have many, it's a bit more difficult. But if you have only one ERP across all these teammates in the group, this is a nice tool to use. Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten because it is expensive.

I suggest that others who plan to use the solution first use Celonis Academy Training. With Celonis, my company builds apps and publishes them in marketplaces, and if anybody wants to use a particular app, then our company builds it for them, after which they can download it or purchase it from us. Celonis has an admin center within its website. We can use it to add and remove people. It is a cloud solution. We use AWS for most of our application deployment, scalability, and production. The number of people involved in deploying Celonis depends on the scale of projects, but for one process, such as a financial end-to-end AP process, the initial development to deployment requires anywhere between three to four people, including engineers, processors, and consultants, at least. My rating for Celonis is eight out of ten because it's coming up with many good features. Every day, there's something new about Celonis.

I would recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it. It's also quite simple to use, which is a great benefit. It's also a no-code or low-code option. Some other solutions chose to be no code or minimal code, but they were not. The downside is, of course, the pricing. It is only affordable for large or public companies. In addition, if a third-party consultancy is thinking of using Celonis, the modules will help with an approach to a customer's pitch. I believe the certification is costly, but the training model will provide a way to get sales for Celonis customization and implementation. Customers should go through the modules first and decide.

If you're looking for a process mining tool that comes with a lot of out-of-the-box process connectors and out-of-the-box analysis, then Celonis is definitely a good option. Celonis allows you to deploy it and get the value faster because it already has out-of-the-box connectors for major ERP systems like SAP and others. If you're looking for something more simple and you want to invest more time in configuration, then you should probably look for another tool. Also, it's not an inexpensive solution, and there are other solutions on the market that probably are less pricey. Overall, I would rate Celonis at nine on a scale from one to ten.

I would recommend Celonis to anybody who wants to enter into process mining space. My advice would be to have as much SQL knowledge as possible. They should learn SQL first before using this solution, it will make everything a lot easier. I rate Celonis a seven out of ten.

I would tell potential users that they really need to understand why they need this tool and have the right expectations. People tend to mix up this need and think that Celonis is a silver bullet. It's not true. Celonis is specific to process mining. Use it for process mining and nothing else. Be clear on these expectations with management. It's best to involve the business to really find definite KPIs. Define the metrics before the start of the project. This is essential to ensure that the insights are exactly in the area as expected. They also need to decide if they want a standard package or not. I think we made a highly complex security system which requires a lot of software to maintain. We could have probably simplified that. If I implement Celonis again, I will be very clear and specific about our expectations. I would tell them what they should expect rather than what they have been told by consultants and managers who tend to overpromote the system. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Celonis a nine.

My advice to those looking to implement the solution is to first look at the data, this is the first step and the biggest mistake. If there is no data or the data maturity is quite slow, then you cannot use this solution as a platform. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is most often the reality or the level of understanding of how an organization works is very different from reality. The power of this solution is that black and white reality check on how the internal processes of the organization work. I rate Celonis and eight out of ten.

We are consistently using the latest version of the product. When there are updates to the software, we get the latest version all the time. I'd definitely recommend this solution to others in-house, however, for new companies, I would suggest doing a test or POC to help the company understand what it would get out of the solution. I would recommend Celonis. It is suitable for both small and big enterprises because they have a few versions. You can use it in small enterprises when the data volume is not large. As you move to larger data volumes, you can use the enterprise version. In that sense, they have a cost-effective way of managing the expansion and growth of the whole project. They have also spent a lot of time on the education side, which is good. The information has been very detailed. You get to learn how to use it quite easily. I would rate Celonis a nine out of ten.

I would rate it a ten out of ten. They have a very unique product because it gives the user a dashboard. End-users can easily evaluate the differences and get the required output. It fulfills the requirements of the end-user. In the next release, I would like for them to integrate more custom features to ease the process of having multiple solutions. I would like to be able to integrate it with other solutions.
