ECS-Optimized Windows drawbacks are really things which you would already be aware of before you start using it and they are not necessarily things which can even be solved. If you want a quicker and a cheaper operating system, you would not go for Windows, you would potentially go for Linux, for example. I would say others should use ECS-Optimized Windows if they are looking to run Microsoft tools or Microsoft workloads. If they are looking to run non-Microsoft workloads, you might want to consider running the Linux variant because you might find it cheaper and also quicker in terms of deployment. I give ECS-Optimized Windows an overall rating of ten out of ten.
