Honestly, it's been a while since we did a proof of concept for AlgoSec, that said they were a very arrogant company or at least the SE they sent down was. Essentially laughing at their competitors rather than offering "here is why we are better". My recent looking at their site doesn't impress me, I "feel" that Firemon is trying to move faster and create more modern tools but again I can't give you a nice side by side comparison.
AlgoSec has many key differentiators, including the unique business-driven approach to network security. In order to fully cover these unique advantages, I would recommend reaching out to the AlgoSec team who would be happy to discuss them in detail. Additionally, ITSC is a great website to see what real users think about the different solutions in the space, AlgoSec has been named #1.
