Aruba ClearPass and CISCO ISE are both very basic authentication and guest portal platforms. There is almost no difference between the two. I would only recommend them in situations where there were minimal and basic requirements on the wireless network. Never for a wired NAC deployment. Your colleague should be looking at Forescout which is a much better platform than Aruba and CISCO.
