What is Unified Cloud Security? Can you define the scope and use cases of the term?

Buzzwords are often used as a marketing tool. Is there such a phrase (Unified Cloud Security) that is recognized in the industry? What does it mean and what are the practical use cases of this term (if at all)?
You can compare it with observability - another new term in the IT landscape.
In the past, you had to deal with mainframes. Next, we started with a distributed PC landscape and now we're dealing with cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid, micro-services, etc.
Due to this point, tools are not efficient anymore. You need to look over the complete landscape and have a holistic view of the complete environment (not for monitoring only but also for security).
For this, you need AI-driven tools like IBM cloud pack for security, and for monitoring, you need tools based on an observability architecture.

Adding to the the earlier answer, I believe Unified Cloud Security will encompass security of all IT assets, including but not limited to endpoints security, VPN & client access, infrastructure, network & segmentation, firewalls, identity control, hybrid, multi-cloud services etc.
As was mentioned earlier, Observability is paramount to any security strategy, which then makes life easier for Control (the 'see' and 'block' model).
The practical driver here, in my opinion is to get as close as possible to a true 'Zero-Trust' security model. A lot easier said than done, especially in large hybrid, multi-cloud environments, but important given the creativity of hackers, malware and ransomware.

It seems quite new, but similar terms are being defined by Gartner.
