The pricing and cost setup is high. Procuring the license is not a tough job, but if Brightcove can be the preferred partner with organizations like Thermo Fisher, there is certainly a re-evaluation that needs to happen on Brightcove's side.
As the end-user of Brightcove, I cannot exactly comment on the pricing, setup cost, and licensing because I was not directly involved in contract negotiations and licensing decisions. From a user perspective, the implementation appeared well-planned, and the platform delivered good value for the capabilities it provides.
For pricing and licensing of Brightcove, we have a separate team who is taking care of that. As a tech person, I am just involved in implementing and achieving the performance part.
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing indicates that while the pricing is somewhat higher, that is justified with the quality they provide. In terms of purchasing and licensing, it was a smooth process; the team was very cooperative and connected with our team throughout.
