I do not have many other experiences on other products like Dell PowerStore. For the moment, it is a new product at France Television. There is no issue about the pricing; we buy it at a good price. Regarding support, it is okay. However, I see on server with ReadyNode that there is something difficult with AI. I asked for a new quotation on a server, and it is quite expensive; it is really expensive. We understand the context. However, is it only the context? We are trying to discuss with other partners as that is our goal. But for Dell PowerStore, it is okay; it is a good product. It might be expensive, but I think it is at the high level of this kind of product, so why not?
It might not be the cheapest product on the market. The purchase was made two years ago, and I'm not certain if the price has increased or decreased since then.

It saves money in the design of the product and solution. Users don't have to change products across their data center lifetime or projects. They can scale within the box regardless of workload or business requirements, saving the hassle of migration to a new solution. This saves money in the long run.

With regard to the pricing and licensing of Dell PowerStore, it seems affordable compared to some of the other storage platforms; outside of doing something such as data domain, the expandability and scalability of what you need make the PowerStore a very palatable price point. You get what you need and expand as you grow. If you need to add another tray later down the line, the fact that they can support up to six trays of disks to meet your needs, and you can put in spindle disks or high-speed SSD disks to accomplish your tasks just makes it very palatable on the budget.

I have experience with the pricing and licensing. I was involved in the purchasing process, though I was not the final decision-maker. If someone asked me about Dell PowerStore, I would say that it is priced appropriately.
There is a big pricing increase once you get to our level, and for our size company, it was almost too large when we went from previous generation products to current models. It was a sticker shock, I have to admit.
Dell is struggling in terms of support SLAs as long as the Pakistan market is concerned. Dell has not been able to give a fixed time commitment from a support perspective, which is a challenge for customers. Sometimes they have equipment in stock, sometimes they don't, so they have to arrange it from somewhere. That's been a challenge, and it's a negative point from a support perspective.

The pricing structure and licensing model of Dell PowerStore are pretty decent. It's pretty competitive. The pricing has never been an issue, and it's fairly good. We are getting NVMe drives, so it's better than the market.
The rate is always too high. Nobody likes paying for it. I have not seen a client yet who says that the price should be higher. Initially, people look at it, but when they see what the benefits are, it is a no-brainer. We can give them good pricing at the outset.

The product is expensive. Initially, you might get a deal, but if you need to add anything later, that's where costs increase. It's possible to buy a PowerStore array at a certain price and then pay as much for additional disks just to expand it.
The pricing structure and licensing model of Dell PowerStore are very good and I like it. We chose it because it was reasonably priced and met our requirements.

When it came to the pricing part, my company looked at Dell EMC Unity All Flash and Dell PowerStore. Dell PowerStore is more expensive than Dell EMC Unity All Flash. Dell PowerStore's performance metrics were way higher than what Dell EMC Unity All Flash offered. My company considered Dell PowerStore to be the best solution despite its high cost.

We are currently using Dell PowerStore for our smaller storage and there is no competition for pricing. If we needed a larger PowerStore say, a petabyte of storage, then the price would be in a different range and would increase.
It is easy to work with Dell from the licensing perspective. I hope they will keep this part as it is not moving very fast into the subscription because, in some accounts, this can generate a big disruption. Especially in the public sector. From that perspective, the licensing flexibility that Dell offers is bigger than other vendors.

The price is very, very expensive. It is more expensive than IBM, for example. Likely the cost is $400,000 whereas IBM may be $250,000. This is a one-time payment to buy the device. There are no subscription costs. There are no other costs for support.

The big pricing issue is with capacity: * If we use the 500 or 1000, the licensing and pricing are reasonable. PowerStore can compete with any vendor and the price isn't that expensive. * It is very expensive though when you get to this point of using the 3000 with a client. They will start to think about using another vendor. There are a lot of solutions similar to PowerStore in regards to networking capacity and their prices are very cheap compared to PowerStore.

The great thing was the guarantee that came with it of the four-to-one deduplication ratio. That really helped with the pricing as well as the anytime upgrades. From a TCO standpoint, we were really able to see some benefits there.

Licensing is very simple. Everything is included in the basic license. There are no concerns about having to pay to add a feature. Everything is there. Because we are a big partner, we get good prices from Dell EMC. They know we will resell their technology, so I'm not in a good position to discuss the pricing that applies to non-partners.
