Regarding pricing, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) is not competitive compared to Enterprise Architect. In the past, I couldn't specify in detail, as I bought a whole package for eighteen thousand Swiss francs. A change in IBM's licensing model could improve this.
The solution is not cheap. It is worth the money, though. The proof is that people have been using it for more than ten years without switching to a different product.

It's the way the tool the user uses it. And how he gets benefits out of it. So, I would rate the pricing of this product a six out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. It is not the cheapest product on the market, but it is not the most expensive either.

The price of the solution could be reduced. Many of our customers are not using all the features and this could be why our clients feel the price is too high.

IBM Rational ALM has both monthly and yearly licensing options.
This product is a little expensive and we had to pay extra to have them set it up for us.
