The pricing for SAP Business Warehouse is on the expensive side. I am not sure about the current costing model as such. In my experience on cloud, I did not use BW HANA Cloud. I used the cloud products of Data Intelligence and SAP Analytics Cloud. When I was working on pricing things, a bit of transparency was lacking, meaning when to have your instance up and when to shut down when it is not in use. The metering was not stopping automatically, even though they say that auto-stopping was there; I complained to SAP, and they recognized this issue and said they would continue.
I would not recommend it to small-scale companies. The price is too much. If you consider all the ERP products, Microsoft and Oracle are also selling their ERP products. Their pricing is very less as compared to SAP Business Warehouse. SAP is very costly. If you compare it to Odoo, it is free of cost, while SAP is too costly.

It's quite pricey. SAP changed its pricing policy, so they give you one engine and then you have to buy everything next to it, like MSS, the BPC licenses, and everything else. So what you see on the bill at first is not exactly what you will pay, to say the least.
