We give the comparison and demo to the customer. If the customer is interested in technical capabilities, we demonstrate the tools, setup, implementation, and their working. At the end, the customer is more interested in the cost. This is the strategy. We give a fair comparison of all the products, and give them clear insights of the products, which makes it helpful for the customer to make a final decision to purchase the license or product.
The pricing is moderate, not expensive or very cheap. It varies based on the number of servers being protected, with a flexible rate. The subscription varies between one-year and three-year services.

Trend Micro Deep Security is considered overpriced. While it provides an unmatched sense of security, this pricing can limit the number of customers to whom I can sell it.
Trend Micro Deep Security is on the expensive side. If I compare it with other endpoint security products, for example, even Kaspersky or Bitdefender or any of the known endpoint security solutions, Trend Micro is a little bit on the expensive side compared to them.
You need to pay for a license per user for the product. There is no extra cost. It's pretty variable. It does match the value. It's quite valuable. The ultimate purpose is to ensure that no incident can destroy the company's reputation.

Pricing doesn't matter when you are talking about a solution meant for enterprise-sized businesses since what matters is the real security and the kind of detection a product offers. At the enterprise level, we are ready to deal with the product in terms of pricing, but we should barely need to work hard on the product later on. From a pricing perspective, I would say the product is economical. The payments are made on a yearly basis towards the licensing of the solution. There are no extra costs involved since there will be an agent that is deployed on your server, and the agent will take care of all the activities.
CrowdStrike had an advantage over Trend Micro when it came to pricing. Trend Micro had several modules, so it was a little priced up, but CrowdStrike was not. However, even CrowdStrike has increased their price now, so probably both of them are on par, but the number of modules that Trend Micro has is far more than CrowdStrike. It comes with file integrity monitoring, application control, and web reputation. It has outbound URL protection, and it also has ransomware protection for servers, whereas CrowdStrike Falcon is a straightforward solution. It isn't an apple-to-apple comparison. It's a big apple versus small apple kind of comparison.

We bought and paid for the solution three years ago, and in six months, we will have to renew and pay again. Instead of doing that, we are looking for a new solution, likely Sentinel One.
I won't call the cost of the solution cheap. Compared to any other antiviruses in the market right now, they are on the expensive side. I'd rate the level of expense a four out of five, where five is the most expensive option.
Trend Micro Deep Security is quite expensive. We're on a yearly subscription with Trend Micro Deep Security. We bought the license with support and all the features. We bought 15 server licenses. I deployed the product on the most critical servers.

I'm not sure about the exact price, but it's reasonable and competitive. Compared to its competitors, you get a lot of bang for your buck. This was the way to go. There aren't any hidden costs. Everything was straight-up. However, it has a built-in malware detector that sends you alerts, but you need someone to monitor and respond to that. You need an incident response team, and Trend Micro Has a service for that called XDR. So if you want that monitoring service, you have to pay extra.

It is simple and cost-effective to purchase through the AWS Marketplace, which provides an easy understanding of the scale of the costs. Our organization purchased it through the AWS Marketplace because it is easier to track when added to our AWS bill and convenient purchasing model. The AWS licensing model is scalable and easy to use, but could do with tiered discounts. I am not sure how well this model will scale when we start to use Auto Scaling with AWS resources.

The customers can deploy in their environment and the licensing model goes through our reseller. The price is reasonably good as compared to other products into the market.
We did not purchase it through the AWS Marketplace because we have used Trend Micro in the past. We have not compared the pricing and licensing of buying it on the AWS Marketplace.

With AWS, we get single, consolidated billing. This is the beauty of it; its ease of use. Purchasing on AWS Marketplace is like shopping on Amazon Prime. We do pay-as-you-go pricing, which is good for us. We are working with Trend Micro to see if we can have something similar for on-premise.
On an AWS defined scope, it will cheaper than buying the on-premise service. We did a trial for the on-premise version, but we decided to go with the AWS version. We are downsizing our server room, and it didn't make sense to put more machines in there, as we already have workloads in Indianapolis.
