My main use cases for Densify include cloud cost optimization, predictive resource sizing, assistance in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, and reducing the manual analysis of the environment. For predictive resource sizing and cloud cost optimization, we had a situation where the customer was migrating their on-prem workloads to AWS and they wanted to avoid over-provisioning in the cloud. How we used Densify is, first we used it to model the optimal instance type based on the workload requirements and workload utilization. Second, we used Densify to compare the cost scenarios across different instance families in the cloud. And third, we used Densify to get recommendations for right-sized target architecture instead of just a simple lift and shift. As an outcome, it avoided oversizing by almost twenty-five to thirty percent during migration time, accelerated our migration planning discussions and decisions, and reduced the initial projected cloud spend significantly.
